Is there any sort of confirmation whether or not Savoie could play in Europe? Would WPG have a say in that matter (is he technically under contract for nxt year since he's their property?)

He can play anywhere next year just not the ahl. So yes he could go to Europe

I understood the fan shift towards Kulich. His production at 18 in the AHL is a hell of a thing. And his position as the third pick we made last year makes him an even better story and kind of found money almost. I was pounding the table for him at 16 and love Kulich and he surpassed even my expectations this year.

But he’s not Savoie. Savoie isn’t just in the group of forward prospects to me. He’s above it. If we were talking about ranking guys as prospects…I’d have had him in a tier with Power. Behind Dahlin. Ahead of Quinn. Ahead of anyone else. In their own tier of…yeah…these are guys that I believe will be great NHL players.
Same. Savoie is the best forward prospect we’ve had since Eichel in my opinion.

I think this guy is going to be a perennial 100 point winger on Tage’s wing one day.

Your updates on Savoie, Kulich and Rosey have been money for what seems like years now.

I honestly don't know how to process the last paragraph. 🤯

Admittedly I was incredibly high on Savoie and I don’t discount anything because of his size…which might get me burned to some degree on my assessment of him. But I had him as the second best forward prospect last year. Behind Cooley. The only players I’d have taken above him were Cooley and the two D…and some of the latter was a bit because of where we are in our prospect pool.

I think Savoie is special. His work ethic and his skill at high speed is special. His size means he’s the most likely to get rubbed out of play easier…but his tenacity just puts him in so many more plays.

I think one thing he has going for him is his frame. He was heavier than Rosen and Ostlund and I think the same weight as Kulich despite being shorter than all 3. He has a similar build to Marchand, and he's still young so he'll get stronger and probably add a few pounds.

He'll have the whole summer to train as well. Last year, the late shoulder injury took all summer to recover and he wasn't right until into the season IMO. He'll be able to stack a few more pounds of muscle onto that frame. Something not lost was him setting the tone in the last series - he smoked Oasiz Wiessblat (yes, that's his name and he has brothers named Orca, Ozzy, and Ocean... ) to really shift the series with the Tigers.

Must be all the praise, this has been the most under control I've seen an opponent handle him this playoff. He's had a couple of good looks but his line hasn't hit the scoresheet yet tonight.

I think the ice will bounce back next game

They gave the Warriors fits in the third last game. I imagine they will try that again. I'm wondering if they reunite Benson with Savoie. He's been with Ostapchuk and Geekie tonight and it's not been a great night. Might want to kick Geekie in the ass (again) to get him to turn it on (again).

Geekie is like an antenna tv whose antennas need to be consistently re-adjusted

I see that Winnipeg is down 2-1 to Moose Jaw. If they get eliminated, any chance Savoie joins Rochester for the playoffs?

Honestly I'm not 100% sure about the rule. It's an interesting thought. I'm not sure how much he'll be be able to take in though and the AHL playoffs can be a blood bath. I wouldn't be against it but I'd be more interested in Savoie getting another month of weight training.
I think once his CHL season ends he can. Him and Wright both have early Jan birthdays so I would think the age thing applies equally to the two.
