Interesting to see three other Ice on the first team - McClennon and Benson from his line and defenseman Zloty.
McClennon over Savoie for the first team is a take. Benson I can understand, McClennon is almost 21 now, close to 2 years older than Savoie, and he has a few more goals but less points and is not a line driver like Matt.

I think it was @Gabrielor who coined "McClennon never saw a shot attempt he didn't like". Without Benson or Savoie, he's not hitting the heights he hit this year, not a line driver indeed.

I have one Not Active spot in my Fantasy Team to hold a prospect. It’s currently filled with this lad. What do you guys think? Savoie or Kulich? I’m figuring Savoie is more likely to light up the league whereas Kulich is more likely to be an above average mid six forward.

Savoie has the draft pedigree and probably still the higher upside but man Kulich is doing silly things as an 18 year old in the A

If Savioe makes the team next year will it be as a center or winger?
Have to hope his faceoff ability translates and he plays 3C, though Don can be tough to gauge on that. Seemed he played Krebs on the wing a lot more at first before getting him back at center, but at the same time he threw Jost right in at center.

Can’t go wrong

Your points on size are 180 out from how the NHL is trending. Smaller players are making a bigger impact because of their talents. Kent Johnson, who I saw in person last month, is 170 pounds soaking wet. But he's very skilled and skates well.

The days of the 3rd and 4th line grinders are going away. Every USA Hockey and Hockey Canada trend show it. Boston, Tampa, and Toronto are gearing up for war, but in 3-5 years, those types of 3rd and 4th lines are going to get skated around, pylon style.
not as long as the reffing stays its inconsistent same; not sure that will change the next 5 years.
I doubt that junior players playing a less physical style will have much impact on how the game is played in the NHL unless those in power decide to change that.

Putting him in 3rd rw could be good mitts krebs and savoie could be an interesting line but i would rather get a vet middle six guy who can bring an overall solid and physical 200 ft game and let the kids simmer one more year

It may be the case, but as you can see with the NFL, NCAA play style changed first and then the NFL.

If coaches are getting 80% skill, skating, puck possession skills, then that’ll be the game.

I thought he would be best at wing in the NHL but I'm not so sure anymore. Depends on if he can still attack the net in the middle at the pro level.
