Those worried about Savoie, need to relax.

From: someone who’s watched his last 3 games and will continue to watch them now. He’s fine. Development in progress. Let’s not banish him to 2018-2020 Tage Thompson island before he’s even out of his D+1 season.

You want to worry about someone, Mittelstadt’s right here for the picking.
What’s his NHLe so far?

yeeee sooo worried about a guy producing over a PPG
Decreased production on an arguably better team in the D1 year usually doesn't portend good things. But every case is unique, and the season is still young. I haven't been watching him but he looked great in camp.

What’s his ice time? A team with 3 great lines plays 3 great lines more evenly - a team with one or 2 Great lines plays those lines a lot more …is he actually playing the same amount?? More good players doesn’t always been more ice time or more chances for production…plus what are his goals this year as per the Sabres?

Sadly, the 'dub (or any of the CHL leagues really) doesn't keep ToI stats. He has had a slower than expected start to the season which could be tied into the shoulder surgery recover. It's a long year though, it'll be interesting to see if the U20 snub drives him. I suspect it will.

There is no one-size-fits-all with development. They have invested a high pick in this kid. Maybe not the right place, right coach, right team for him? Who knows. The non-invite stings a little for your high first, but if he turns pro next year and Appert can get him going, then the time-table is fine. Also, as you said, the season is young. KA seemed to think he has the right DNA and the slight from Team Canada will motivate him more.

Will he be able to play in the AHL next season according to the rules? I don't think, it's WHL or NHL.

Correct. He is still 18, won’t be 19 until January so he misses the age cut off for the AHL eligibility. It isn’t like he has shown he is done with junior hockey either. Leave him where he is at.
At his size it will be especially important to give him the time to grow into his game. Sending him straight to the NHL next year is a good way to get him crushed. Another year in juniors and then prove himself in the NHL. Got to earn it.

Two more primaries on Zach Benson goals in a win over Brandon. The points per game is starting to tick a bit in the right direction 3-4-7 in his last five games played.

Just to point out. A bit off topic, but with the rumblings the last few years about who the scouting staff wanted versus who our GM at the time took, during draft day.. I FIRMLY trust our amateur scouts.

And this does not guarantee that Benson will eventually become a better player. Savoie stud.
I'd say, he's 6th in the WHL (Winnipeg Hockey League) in scoring!

He's been demonstrately better this entire year, you can make a legitimate argument that he was better the 2nd half of last year then both Geekie and Savoie. Pretty much everything Savoie does, Benson does better and he'll go top 10 in a much stronger draft even though he's an undersized winger.

I know Benson's statistics, but I was talking about the NHL, no one knows how their NHL career will turn out, there are no guarantees and there is no magic ball. For me, they are both potential elite players in the NHL in the future, but this potential will still have to be realized and unleashed. The same example of Rossi versus Quinn is working in Quinn's favor so far, even though Rossi seems to have scored a lot of points in the OHL. So let's see how it all works out in the future.
