It’s cool Savoie piled up the numbers against Bedard. Let him know who gets top bunk when they’re in camp together next year.

Bedard scored ten seconds into this game after Savoie won the opening face off clean. His d decided to just throw it right to Bedard after that. But hey…face off win!

Savoie ends up 1st star with six points. Bedard 2nd star with a goal and 2 assists.

Geekie also played. At least according to his *checks notes* one secondary assist on the 9th and final Winnipeg goal. Hmm.

Since the 6-point night, he's had 1 assist in 5 games. For those who keep penciling him into next year's lineup, you might want to rethink that... hard. He's not dominating the 'dub. It might be the shoulder, but he's not getting inside and right now is pretty clearly not ready.

How long do you think til he graduates to the Amerks? I have watch precious little so i have to settle for highlights.

I want to see him dominate possession and he's doing the things that had me sour on him toward the end of last year - he's not getting inside and I don't like his decision making. I don't see him at center in the NHL right now. It might be the shoulder still being troublesome, but he's a ways off right now. This lull in production is troubling - I didn't notice him in any part of the game when I looked in tonight. I've spent more time watching ASU hosting Minny, but I'm not impressed.

This is concerning to say the least but he's still young. Plenty of time to improve. Hopefully that shoulder heals up.

Wasn't he always a but of a project? Kulich and Östlund feels as safe as can be so I wouldn't worry about Savoie until 2024.

Everyone needs to calm down - he just had a 6 point game against Connor Bedard a few games back and we gave no ideal what the Sabres plan for him is this year ( aka focus could be on building strength and lifting, more so than point production so he may be prioritizing that as opposed to on the ice production as much.) let it play out and see how he does next year in camp. It’s not like he is below a point a game… Guy is still producing just had a couple games of decreased production. Also, on a team with so many other good players, he’s not going to get the same chances for big production than on a Team that has just him. They spread out the opportunities…

I would be worried he won't be on the Nats at the U20's.
Yeah that’s crazy talk

Yeah that’s crazy talk

The crazy talk is from people penciling him into the lineup for next season.
