Trading the capital for a small town (about 30 k citizens). Great hockey environment. Will need to take huge steps to take a top 6 role next year.

He's young. Let him stay in Sweden another year.
wow very interestingIn NA to practice with Rochester, sounds like games is not completely out of the picture neither
This wouldn't be the end of the world, but I disagree. Get him to Rochester where he can play in a competitive environment with the other kids and start to build that winning culture together. An extra year to get acclimated to NA, play in a quality league with a mix of young and older, be in an organization that is very invested in his development, and has a good track record for developing players. It's not going to hurt him to stay in Sweden another year (probably), but I don't see much downside to bringing him over now. He's young. Let him stay in Sweden another year.
Just waiting to hear the news that they signed Novikov and assign him to Roch. I really believe he can be a solid bottom pair PKer on the big club for yearsIf this guy (and Novikov) come over then Rochester is going to be must watch on a consistent basis
I'm happy Pegula owns the Amerks so they don't pull a Chicago Wolves. They could have a TON of prospects in Roch next year if Neuchev, Novikov and Ostlund come over. Have to think Nadeau could be there next year also, and with Kulich, Rosen, Kisakov and Kozak already there that's a young team. Not even counting guys like Rousek, Cederqvist etc.If this guy (and Novikov) come over then Rochester is going to be must watch on a consistent basis
He seems like a perfect compliment to Rosey.

The downside to him staying in Sweden is he doesn't get the benefits I listed for Rochester. It's not going to hurt him to come to Rochester this year (probably), but I don't see much downside to keeping him in Sweden another year.
The only thing I can think of, and I'm not even sure it's happening, is time on the top 2 lines and maybe powerplay time.Kidding aside, what does he get in Sweden that he doesn't get in Rochester? An extra year before his ELC starts is the only thing I can think of, and it's not like his second contract will be expensive.
I think it's the other way aroundSweden let's him further develop his offensive skills as there's more space. Rochester will have him at least initially focus on defensive responsibilities
I think they'll bring him to Rochester if he's ok with that.Statistically, he had a good season? Where will he play next season in the SHL or the AHL?
