5p in 8gp with a -2 in playoff is not impressing me at all.
he's strenght is his 2 way game, he's not been the best in his own zone imo.

Lol tough crowd. 3rd on his team in scoring and only 2 forwards are plus.

Maybe Suzuki can be an over ager in the OHL next season and boost his value even more while Glass is a measly NHLer.

Can't believe you're making me defend Glass. I'd much rather be on team Suzuki.

He has a change to finish with 40+ points.

Last 10 seasons, top 10 play-off performances

Connor McDavid 49 points
Mitch Marner 44 points
Matthew Tkachuk 40 points
Nick Suzuki 38 points
Alex DeBrincat 38 points
Taylor Hall 36 points
Taylor Hall 35 points
Dylan Strome 34 points
Taylor Raddysh 34 points
Robert Thomas 32 points
it's insane because they are all ELITE/Franchise players with the same points

Suzuki isn't really on the same level as these guys since they did it in fewer games and at a younger age. Still impressive tho!

McDavid = 2.45 PPG (Draft -1)
Marner = 2.44 PPG (Draft +1)
Tkachuk = 2.22 PPG (Draft -1)
Suzuki = 1.72 PPG (Draft +2)
Debrincat = 1.72 PPG (Draft +1)

Marner and Debrincat were 19, just like Suzuki.

Then there's also that Debrincat had Strome, Cernak and Marner had Tkachuk, Juolevi, Pu, Mete, Thomas and Dvorak.

Suzuki has Ratcliffe, Durzi, Entewistle and Samorukov... Good cast, but not exactly top five guys.

There's also Corey Perry and Scheifele in their D+2, at 20, that are currently getting outproduced by Suzuki.

Yep, it would be nice to compare Suzuki's playoff performance to all these guys, but Raddysh and Strome are the most comparable.

So that would make them... More most comparable?
what don't you get ? Dabrincat and Marner both had 19 years old, just like Suzuki.
Also, Suzuki was born in august, which is really late for his year of draft ( 1 more month and it was the year after, and he did what Dabrincat did at the same age, but 3-4 months older..)

you can say what you want on Suzuki, but the kid had a phenomenal development since the playoff, he is carrying his team and every plays.
but, we will see if it translates to the NHL.

So when I wrote "these two players are most comparable" can you please tell me what you read?

What do you think I said? How did you get so triggered. Who hurt you?

If you'd like I can elaborate on what I said instead of letting you shove words in my mouth.

Those guys are most comparable because they are D2 and played a similar amount of games.

As I have to say to you in every bizarre argue we have:

I. LIKE. SUZUKI.

you have a really strange way of saying you like him

Except Suzuki is effectively the same age as all these guys.

Not all of them. Suzuki has done an excellent job and has a lot of potential (perhaps he can reach the heights of those top guys), but:

1) McDavid's was pre-draft (17yr-18yr season);
2) Marner is a May birth month, his performance was in his 18yr-19yr season. He was 9 months younger when he git 2.44 PPG; and
3) Tkachuk was also in his 18yr-19yr season.

They also did it in fewer games.

Production-wise, the player he's closest to is Debrincat.

But lets be real, if in a year or two Suzuki can be doing what Debrincat or even Strome are doing right now, the Habs are pretty damn happy.

Raddysh and Suzuki have more months between them than Marner and Nick, lol.

Heres why your argument doesnt work
Marner -8 months
Raddysh +7 months
Strome +6 months
Debrincat -5 months

Suzuki is numerically closer in age to Debrincat.

Ppg
Marner had +.72 (With one of the most stacked team in history.)
Debrincat 1.72 (Same, with a better team than Suzuki.)
Strome had -.18 playing with Debrincat
Raddysh has -.6

Ty for coming

Marner in his D2 season had 61 points on the NHL.

I've noticed in all Montreal threads that you display intense paranoia. You aggressively attack even tangential disagreements to your main point.

Case in point here. Everyone likes Suzuki. No one has said a bad word about him and you are upset that people think it's inaccurate to compare a D1 season of 44 points in 18 games to a D2 season of 38 in 22.

Why do you always do this?
