Getting rid off Suzuki was such a horrendous all-in move from McPhee.

The damage done and the picks lost in the crappy Tatar deals was bad enough, but losing Suzuki will hurt for years. The clip is just about him showcasing his skill, but it still doesn't show his best asset: being able to make others around him better. Some players never grow mentally enough to get to his level.

Vegas went all in, traded away 2 of their 4 top prospects (Brännström,Ottawa&Suzuki,Montreal), but refs called their bluff...

Dominating playoffs for Suzuki. Leading scorer in the entire CHL playoffs by a long shot. Suzuki should start the year in the AHL however. Would love to see the Habs take their time with a few of their better prospects to let them develop to their max potential.

Some people are sleeping on him,

he is extremely elite, he slows the play, Japanese IQ over the roof, makes his teamates better and he is strong for his size ( makes me think of Crosby strength with his size).

Now, what about a trade for Rattcliffe ? the synergy they have is amazing.

Always thought the player should've been top 10 in his draft, arguably even top 5 but 'reasons'

6 foot 6 Winger
18-19 reg+post: 65 goals, 112 points, 135 penalty minutes, +52. I think Flyers want to keep him and wont depart very cheap.

Suzuki a lock for making the Habs next season?

Not really. I would be shocked if he doesn't at least get a look at some point of the year but he needs to earn his spot if he wants to make it out of camp. The Habs have decent depth at both C and RW.

Hope the Avs take his brother at 16.

Wouldn't it be cool if the Habs take him at 15?;)

Hahaha no it wouldn't.

Seems like more of a right winger, and that is OK. Wingers are driving offense in the NHL today more than ever it feels like. Montreal already has some great centers who play all 200 ft. of the ice, which is something you need if your wingers are driving offense.

Excellent trade by Montreal to get younger, more skilled. This is exactly what they need.

would love to see him make it. from a dynasty owner perspective. would be nice to get a good ol Maple Leafs - Habs rivalry going again though.
