I loved the deal when it was made. And I love it even more right now. The vatican of hockey The Habs got a good one here!

I must say I didn’t know much about Suzuki when we made the trade. I knew he was a 1st round pick in 2017 but I have to admit that he exceed what I expected

My only concern with Suzuki is, with how hard he competes over his weight class, how quickly he may wear down. In many ways, he reminds me a lot of a younger Mike Richards.

Granted, he doesn't fight, but that's the only concern I have with him. So much to like about him.

Did you use your crystal ball for that reply ? Ya pettersson had a insane rookie year but suzuki's hands and shot are just as good. Im not saying 100% he will be as good but you never know.

Not even close, he is basically a runner up for the calder

Suzuki is a good notch below

Sure Suzuki could end up as good as Petterson, but he hasnt done enough to be compared to him.
At the same age, Pettersson was completely dominating the swedish hockey league and breaking records. And he has also delivered in his first year in the nhl.

At this moment, its laughable to compare him to Pettersson.

Did you use your crystal ball for this reply? Of course you “never know” but let’s be real he’s not going to be on Pettersson’s level. As a Flyers fan I’ve been following ratcliffe quite a bit and thusly been able to see Suzuki. He’s a lot like Morgan Frost who I project as a good 2nd liner, no where near Pettersson.

Good try at a comeback buddy

Kid was fantastic in their memorial cup opener. Was stickhandling in a phone booth all night. Nobody in the Q has that kind of puck control. It was a pleasure to watch live. Also hard to knock off the puck although he did have to bail a couple of times when he was lined up. Hate the Habs but very impressed with my first viewing of Suzuki
