Split up the skill to have at least one of your top 3 forwards facing terrible competition I guess. Nice to see he excelled there, probably helps his draft stock a small bit

Height really isn't the question here, I don't understand why people find that hard to understand. It's weight, which is more about how his frame will handle weight as he grows than anything else. Some people are just meant to be skinnier, which is generally worse for the sport of hockey. No biggie, hardly predictable, but he's nowhere near built like Stamkos. It's just a discussion point, not overblown at all.The size thing is so overblown. He doesn't look tiny on the ice at all, he looks just like Yzerman, Sakic, Datsyuk, or Stamkos, guys who are slightly shorter than average. He'll be 5'11" 180 at the very minimum, which is fine for a player whose game doesn't rely at all on being stronger or heavier than other players.
As a Habs fan, I hope the Leafs DOES NOT pick him with their pick. I think they should pick Crouse!

Domi - Dvorak - Berisha
Rupert - Marner - not sure?
Interesting. I hope London keeps him at C and that they win the OHL championship.

Can't see them besting the Soo
You look at the kids that come into the NHL at 18... RNH had a similar build to Marner. Kane also being the other. Marner doesn't shy away from giving hits or taking hits but he is very difficult to hit. Kane made it thru his first season without any injuries due to the fact was hard to hit and still is. RNH's body couldn't handle the grind for the first couple of years he also took a beating.
My only worry with Marner is like a lot of kids that come from junior is when trying to pull moves that work 99% of the time on junior Dmen but will get him eaten alive at the NHL level.
Pretty surprising they are waiting this long to try it.
Or Erie. Or Oshawa, or Barrie, or even North Bay.
But that's fine, because this is a transition year.
Hopefully Marner is back to lead the Knights next year along with Dvorak. Minus the Domi sideshow.
The Leafs may end up taking Strome at 4 if the standings mirror the draft order, and that's a great pick. No way Marner should last past #5 though.
