Is playing with all different line combos in todays game just scored his 3rd short handed.... He will likely play centre in the Nhl. He has scored 2 of his 3 goals and set up another to chase Red Wings prospect(Jake Patterson) and two times WJC Canadian goalie out of the game.

I will say it again, if a team picks Dylan Strome over Mitchell Marner they are making a big mistake.

Marner is #3 in the draft.

I'm in a keeper league and it looks like it will be in the 3-4-5 range of this draft. I saw Hanifin yesterday and was amazed at his skating ability and what he could become is something special, IMO. I was shocked by how domintant Strome looked last Sunday on the Sportsnet game. I have loved Marner from the start, the skill and smarts combo is incredible with him.

In short, there is no wrong choice, IMO. But put a gun to my head, which player do I think has the best chance to be ELITE in the NHL, I pick Marner.

Reminds me of Yzerman if he played centre it would be a toss up.

I think for the teams in the 3-5 spots there are plenty of great options so hard to really go wrong with whoever. Marner just showing that yeah he is a really talented prospect.

Some tough calls to be made that's for sure.

The top 5 in this draft seems pretty clear cut to me...but what doesn't is the order after 1 and 2. I prefer Marner.

Id love to see London go on a deep playoff run with Marner playing centre the whole time. Seeing a ~15-20 game sample size of Marner playing centre, primarily against the tougher OHL teams, would be a great test to make sure he can play as an elite centre at the OHL level for an extended period of time.

Ya as a Leafs fan great year to be in the top 5... seems really clear cut who the top 5 are and they're all amazing prospects. Would love to get Marner

Leafs are getting Hanifin or Marner. I am extremely excited about this.

I'm just worried they pick Strome before Hanifin/Marner. I like Dylan but Marner/Hanifin have elite potential. Franchise type elite.

I like him and think he'll be a good player. Just not sold on him being an elite talent like Marner and Hanifin. I don't see that 'special' type of player in him at the next level.

If the Leafs pick at #4, 1. Hanifin 2. Marner 3. Strome

We would be guaranteed one of them even if an unlikely team wins the lottery
