Gonna be a heck of a player...really, really impressed with his vision and play making skills. Perhaps 5 years before he can be an impact NHLer, but I think he will be personally.
Yawn. Do you contribute anything except posts that are useless and full of jealousy/hate? I know you wish the Rags drafted Grigs with a middle first round pick, so you don't gotta be mad bra. Oh yeah what team are you a professional scout for again? Since you talk like your opinion is the end all be all to Grigorenko
Nah. Just as many question marks with Yakupov, Galchenyuk etc then there are with Grigorenko. And no, I wouldn't trade him for anyone else from the draft, the Sabres need a center and Grigs is the best one from the draft IMO. Gotta love Hf, if you have a differing opinion all the "expert" armchair scouts ridicule you if the prospect you like isn't from there team, pretty sad and reeks of jealousy.
There is absolutely nothing to be jealous about the Sabres.
No. What you're saying NOW is that you feel Grigorenko had a better TOURNAMENT than him. Not taking anything else in context like teamates they are playing with. And also based on the fact that the Gaudreau line is so hot right now that Gally isn't on the first PP either and US plays more a 4-line roll than Russia who actually didn't have a balance attack and counted mostly on the Grigo line to provide it. But if you want, you could also say that Grigo just also happen to have the better tournament....it doesn't make Grigo BETTER than Gally....just having a better tournament. 'Cause to know who's better, you'd have to take everything else into account...actual season and so on.
geez, the useless pissing contests never end around here....
Hoping to hear from posters who watched him recently and could comment on specific parts of his game they noticed- whether good, bad, or simply average.....
how did he look in defensive coverage, backchecking, board battles, skating ability, offensive zone play and anything that might have caught your eye - about his play on the ice!

It's not our fault the team is located in Upstate New York compared to Midtown Manhattan.
Geez, Grigs is an exceptional talent at 12th overall - good thing we didn't take McIlrath at 10.
Darcy Regier chatted with Patrick Roy on Sunday and made it clear that he intends to bring Grigorenko to Buffalo for the duration of training camp (per Kathleen Lavoie). Not surprising.
Not saying you're wrong but I thought I read a month or so ago that Regier said lock out or not hes staying in Quebec?
"Did you see how I look surprised? I chatted often with Darcy Regier [the Chief Sabres] and I had never confirmed anything. But I felt that the chances were high that Grigo Quebec remains throughout the season, "he explained.
I read that article too but I don't think it said that directly,

Seriously? Don't make us look like idiots, that's not funny.((snipped))
And why should I be jealous of this?
I don't get it, they were drafted 2 years apart.

Its funny. I think there is absolutely nothing to be jealous of when it comes to the New York Rangers either.
Hope Grigs really impresses at camp so that Buffalo is forced to keep him. He's certainly not dominated the Q in every aspect, but the fact that Quebec could be severely weakened by his departure makes me want him to leave.... Yes I'll be that greedy Moose fan
Who is battling with for a position in the top 6? Not an expert on Sabres players..
Ruff likes rolling balanced lines, if he sticks after camp he'll have an opportunity to play with either Vanek or Pominville which could be very good for him. He won't be counted on to play large amounts of minutes either as Ruff likes keeping everyone fresh by limiting ice time.
Many Sabres fans are speculating our lines will be
Ott Hodgson Vanek
Foligno Ennis Stafford
Leino Grigorenko Pominville
Gerbe McCormick Kaleta
If this kif can improve his first step a bit he could end up being an extremely effective player. His skillset and style reminds me a lot of Nikolai Zherdev.
