The kids a top 10-15 pick guaranteed and with a Perfetti-Jenkins -Coskey/Giroux line l can see a 100 pts in his draft year without Tippett and McLeod. Spirit have as strong a top 9 as any in the league. Depending on the changes Drinkill makes expect a signing, he usually gets someone of the unexpected to show. Perfetti has skill that is still just getting better as far as speed 74 pts. and 37G+37A is amazing for a guy who can't skate as they say. I'm sure it is a part of his game that will improve the most.

The name is pretty good. Will be interesting to see how he does in his draft year and where he goes in the 2020 NHL draft.

No ones guaranteed in that range, unless you are McDavid. There are players all the time that are projected top five a season before that go outside the top 15.

I also don’t think points matters towards draft stock as much as some think. Either this kid is a top 10-15 prospect or not. I think players are scouted enough that stats don’t factor in much, so I think these stats that people reference for this player aren’t going to matter as much as some state. It’s also evident for all to see that his point totals were inflated this year by the team he played for. This happens to some prospects every season. Perfetti is one of those players.

This year's team will be a solid team with a strong group of forwards. Perfetti was playing well long before Tippett and McLeod showed up. He played mostly with Tippett on the RW and Gilmour in the middle at times. Not being a big bodied forward Perfetti held his own against the best teams. Maybe points don't matter, however, the kid has talent you see it night in night out. For a rookie to lead his team in scoring playing against men says to me, do it again and lets see where the chips fall next draft.

I'm a huge Perfetti fan. The kid has wowed me on almost every outing I've seen. I"m high enough on him to say he may surpass Byfield as the 1st OHL chosen in next years draft.

Perfetti is fantastic and I agree with all of this, but I don’t consider playing Canadian Juniors to be “playing with men”.

It's going to be pretty tough for anyone in the OHL to pass Byfield. That size, speed, shot, hands combo in a center is pretty rare. Byfield would have to have a really really bad season or Perfetti would have to have a very very good season for any team to pass on Byfield. And even then teams would likely opt for Byfield on potential alone.

agreed. I was just emphasizing how much I like Perfetti as a prospect. I do think the prospect exists that he may surpass Byfield, but alot would have to right or wrong for that to happen. Redline's very preliminary list had him 3rd behind only Lafreniere and Holtz with Byfield 5th

With so much emphasis put on size and speed in the NHL Byfield will be coveted. There aren't many if any guys in the NHL that skate like him at his size. And none that can are currently centers. GM's will salivate over that kid at the draft and with how much emphasis is put on centers I think it's more likely Byfield goes over Lafreniere than Perfetti goes over Byfield. Not saying he can't or shouldn't just that NHL GM's will be a lot more excited about Byfields potential than Perfetti's. We saw it this year with Dach going 3rd.

I was referencing more being a 02 born playing against 00, 99, 98,s their is a big step in size and maturity, oh ya, development. You are right they are not 30 but their are significant advantages in age when that young.

Surprised no one is talking about Perfetti with his Hlinka performance. This guy is definitely one to watch, what a pair of hands he has.

100% agree. Ive tuned in on and off all games and it seems like all i notice is Perfetti and all i hear announcers talk about is him and Byfield.

The kid is dangerous as hell when he gets the puck in offensive zone my god

Perfetti 5G 3A 8Pt and has done a good job on a talented line. The kid has magic hands, quick release, gets in position to score, backchecks, reads the ice well and can find the open man. He is developing into an elite scorer and will just get better. Some solid chemistry with Lapierre who is equally impressive.

Another 2 goals through two periods against Sweden.

He’s been the best player at the Hlinka Gretzky by a fairly wide margin for me.

Man this guy is a stud. Perfetti and Byfield is this years Marner and Stome. Both are going to destroy the OHL. Would be surprised if they don’t hit the 100 point mark.
