If he is on the board when Carolina picks, I see no way they don't take him. He was born in Raleigh, and that could be a good marketing ploy for the franchise. And we could use a guy of his size.

A goal and 3 assists tonight against Kitchener.

If he has a good playoffs (as well as possible U-18 appearance that goes well), I could see him going in that 10th-12th range. At this point, I think you can make a strong case he's ahead of McLeod.

If Sarnia gets back to me for my media credentials, I'll be scouting him on Sunday. Very intrigued to see him - have heard so many mixed reviews, want to get the eye test.

As mentioned earlier this year. I see this guy as an intriguing upside player in this draft that we have only seen scratch the surface of his potential.

I hate the term boom or bust. But to me he is the Boyle or to be better as a projection player if he does hit boom.

How has he been in the playoffs?

Very good. He has easily been the Spits best forwards. (Lemieux is hurt though) He is like a one man breakout with him skating the puck up the ice. I have been very impressed by him even though his team is down 3-0 in the series to Kitchener. All three games have been one goal games so the series is not as one sided as it sounds.

I would not be surprised to see him go in the #10-15 range at the draft. He reminds me more of an Eric Staal type of player. Now the Eric Staal from 2012-2015. The Staal who is after his prime but has not fallen off of a cliff like this year. Lower end #1 center but a very good #2 center.

How has he been in the playoffs?

I agree with the previous poster. He has been a bright spot for Windsor. He is showing some signs of a young player in his first real go at the playoffs in that his faceoff percentage has dropped and he is having a tough time with the MacInnis match-up, but he's competing, which many of his mates can't say.

I actually see a lot of MacInnis in him. Big, rangy, good reach, deceptive speed to the outside. He doesn't have that shot, but may be an even better playmaker. I think he has pro written all over him. Maybe not an elite scorer, but a very good 2C.

Dude needs far more hype. Only 3 pages...

4 assists tonight to help keep Windsor's season alive. 6 points in 4 games in the series.

Don't see how he is not a top 15 pick. EVERYONE wants giant centers who can produce.

His offensive game has looked a lot better as the season has gone along.

He had me worried, that he might be only a 3C and I had him in that 25-30 range...starting to climb back up again.

How is his skating?

I'm hoping that we side with one of the guys in the sort of top 6-8 discussion, but it's intriguing to think of McCarron and Brown in the same forward lineup after years of smaller teams. Adding some space for our skill players and impending skill guys is even moreso intriguing.

He skates like Linden and Bertuzzi....which is to say...he's very elegant for a big guy.

His comparables are Linden and Bjugstad. You always want more physicality consistency and aggression but that's not who he is. Linden brought that consistency and drive.

Skating is very good. Solid, powerful strides. I'm really high on him. I want Habs to take a center and with Dubois out, I would find it tough to pass over Brown at 8-9-10. There will still some other interesting options at these ranks but it's hard to resist at this blend of skills and size down the middle. It would change drastically the look of the Montreal Canadiens. And it's not just size, he is a great center, with very good stick handling, passing, shooting and playmaking abilities.

For those who remember the Quebec Nordiques, his father is former defenseman Jeff Brown. Saw him few times on tv and interviews, Jeff has evolve very well as a person and a father, he is a solid influence and he is now also the general manager and the coach of the Ottawa 67's.
That adds value to Logan, it gives him better chance to reach his potential. The kid grew in a good environment and he is very well surrounded. He is a hockey player.
Would be a bit of surprising pick at 8, but really I think you can't go wrong by adding Logan Brown to your team.

He is a rare specimen at center.

I would not take him at 8 at this point. Brown is quite impressive right now, but it's still only around 2 months of this type of play...the Nylander-Chychrun-Juolevi group (1 is going to be there at 8) have a longer track record.

If we're 9th or 10th, I am quite interested. Probably would still take Sergachev over him though.

Galchenyuk-Brown-McCarron could be one heck of center line for long time, no doubt about it.

He needs to improve his conditioning no doubt about it as he fades at the end of shifts, also could use work on his small area quickness and first step... But aside from that he is a complete package! With his size, skill level and hockey sense it is hard not to see him anchoring at least a 3rd line in the NHL! How do you pass on that, I doubt he gets past pick 15, certainly before Tufte.

For his size, he has very good mobility. His most attractive asset is his ability to make plays at top speed. Sees the ice well. takes the puck to the net, isnt a perimeter player. Used in most defensive zone situations, all around solid 2 way player. If he is indeed ranked towards the end of the 1st round (as per button) he will be the steal of the draft.

Canada will no longer have Windsor Spitfires centre Logan Brown as an option for international hockey play.

The 18-year-old Brown, who is considered a first-round prospect for this year’s NHL Draft, will join the United States for the World Under-18 Hockey Championship, which will be played April 14-24 in North Dakota.

Good decision by Brown after Canada cut him from the Hlinka team last year. Will be easier for him to make the US Junior team as well, then competing for a spot on Team Canada next year. Guy was born and raised in the States, and should have always stuck with the US program.

Very debatable given how bad Canada's 98's are

That's a pretty strong point. Not a ton of great '98-born forwards for Canada. Dubois... And that's maybe it? Brown probably would have had a good shot at the Canadian WJC team next winter, especially considering the best '97-born forwards (Marner, Strome, Crouse) will probably be in the NHL.

McLeod, Jost, and Patrick will probably make it.

I don't see the combined 98/97 US forwards being stronger than the combined 98/97 Canadian forwards.

Canada's WJC team next season should be pretty strong. It's the 2018 team (where the 98s would be the 19 year old players) that should be weak.
