One of Leo, Zegras or McTavish has to go to the wing, and it definitely isn't Leo. Both Mac and Z have looked best at center IMO, so definitely will be interesting to see how that unfolds. I think there will be pairings amongst the top 6 of like a Leo-Terry and Z-Mac, but who knows, I think it's between Z and Mac with who moves to the wing.
It's a good problem to have, that's for sure.

Skating better than advertised, shot better than advertised. Off the charts IQ and driving the play every time he hit the ice.
I legit think he was the best forward on the ice for Anaheim aside from McTavish. Terry a close third. A lot of my concerns with his timing and adjustment to the pace and rink size of NA hockey have seemed to have gone away in short order. He's adapting really quickly.

I honestly didn't think McTavish was nearly as good. This was Carlsson and Terry domination.

Excited to see how he looks….

Zegras carlsson terry line looked fun for the little time they played together in preseason

Big concern is all 3 seem like guys that are better with puck on their stick
I disagree. They’re all great at passing with exceptionally high iq. Give them time and they will really gel together with all of that skill and ability to read the ice. Could have had a few more goals tonight.

Maybe on a bigger rink those "skating issues" are a bit of a mirage. I think it's been said that he needs to work on his 1st step but he's not slow by any means

This is why Anaheim needs one of these wingers in their system with goal scoring chops to pan out

My concern was more his pass and shot timing and selection than his skating. He's adapting to NHL play really fast.

Love to hear he had a great first game. Hoping to check him out when the ducks are playing more on the east coast.

Really surprised me how low some people appeared to be on him when the draft first happened. Man's got all the tools you look for in a prototypical elite 1c. And he has the most important trait of them all, IQ.

In my dynasty league I was able to somehow steal him at 5, traded up from pick 10 to get him. I was shocked he fell and then someone still didn't want to pick him and rather trade down. Their loss.

The future is bright for the ducks. Get one more really good winger and look out.

I think it's more that people prefer Fantilli and I still do because athletes like him are hard to find but Anaheim is banking on the hockey IQ here

All 3 of the top3 2023 picks got their first goal so quickly :)
2023 draft appears to be so damn good that teams were unwilling to trade their late to mid1st round picks on draft day and some teams were offering up what they believed was too much to move up such as Nashville offering up Askarov.
