I got to see only the 3rd period but I agree with the coach in my observations. Best player on the ice. 3 grade A chances he created with his skating and quick decision making. For many, there is a feeling Carlsson's the guy that will play better with better linemates, despite increased opposition. But the most impressive thing to me, and that's the second game in a row, is his takeaways. He is stripping opposition off pucks. The points will come but he is clearly a very useful player regardless of the offensive production. Feels like he will be a Selke candidate down the road.

As a note: yesterday and at least a few times before it, the Ducks hold a full practice in gamedays which are not just morning skates. So there is a belief our players are extra gassed, but we need it as we have a new coach and system.
Can't help but think it impacts production for some players.

Just Friedman in 32T saying he might miss some time but not much. Nothing specific. Crazy that someone from HNIC is more on this than the few people that cover the Ducks.
