The lines from the scrimmage were:

Marsh - Noel - Smallman
Imama - Dove - Joseph
Del Paggio - Veleno - Povorozniouk
Green - Highmore - Tessier

The D will likely be something like:
Zboril - Green
Chabot - Bateman
Felixson - Webster
Bell

I know this is the Veleno thread, but that defense....someone hold me

Isnt their starter 16 yr old D'Orio though?
Kind of a waste of a go for it year with a rookie goalie

It's August, there's still an entire season to go and if they really aren't satisfied with their goal tending situation they could upgrade.

I see this team peaking in 2-3 years not next season.

Our starter is likely to be 20 year-old Turcotte...

It's a go-for-it year with a 15 year-old who looks like he can be a contributor in a scoring role. Even when he's playing with the vets, you notice every single time Veleno is on the ice.

He is now known as "Joe Veleno" if a mod wants to change the thread title... or not.

Seems kind of moot, his full name is Joseph, but he prefers to go by Joe.

It's kinda like Matthew/Matt Barnaby, is it wrong to call him Matthew even if he prefers Matt?

Edit: Patrick/Pat Kane would probably be a more relevant example.

Not sure when you mention Joseph then Veleno that you are mentioning the same player or his BROTHER because a buddy of mine mentioned that his brother Michael is also there and may be playing with him

If this true I take my hat off to his mom and rename her a super agent way to go Lina

3pts in 2 pre-season games so far.

Its pre season and could be a indication of things to come, he will work hard and prove everyone wrong
St Johns will do the right thing for him and for themselves
its quite a organization

Man take some sugar with that bitterness - even out

His brother is playing Jr A in St Stephen - i dont see why this is a big deal that he was at Dogs camp for a while to get adjusted.

No bitterness at all , wasn't meant that way , in fact it would of been very cool for the brothers to play together nothing wrong with that at all

I wish both the kids the best of luck

I would agree there on both. I find Joey isn't as flashy to be honest.

Drouin is Drouin , you cannot compare him to this player at all, Drouin was explosive in many ways , in addition to hockey sense which was off the hook no comparison at all

JV may have a challenging year ahead of him and the team will give him plenty of opportunities to grow and mature. As of now he is on the 3rd line, with limited PP , unless he explodes

Lets see what happens this weekend

Has the qmjhl always started this early? The Ohl and Whl are still in their pre-seasons
