It's even more impressive he dominates a thread that isn't even his.

Which in itself is almost as impressive as how much he dominated the thoughts of Tim Murray

In all seriousness, I look forward to Eichel this season. I think he may have ups and downs/struggles with consistency but overall he should have a good season. The field for the Calder is really deep this upcoming season.

Welcome to the prospects board where posters discuss prospects. Not every comment is going to be positive or it isn't much of a discussion is it?

And as for it being a scrimmage, there were many mocking McDavid's 5 goals because it wasn't a real game. Or saying "Oilers D lol". The point stands. A supposed generational talent should have dummied the other team. And Eichel's line mates weren't exactly scrubs either..

Reinhart outplayed Eichel and that's fantastic for him. Some on here need to stop being so sensitive about criticism.

Ok, so Eichel scored 5 goals and had 2 assists in Buffalo's 3 on 3 prospect tourney. So, is he good now? lol

He hasn't really played on any teams where fighting has been allowed. Does anyone think Eichel will be a player going forward who will be willing to drop his gloves, perhaps in defense of a teammate? Not regularly of course, but I'm wondering if it's something he'd be capable of once or twice per year (maybe not as a rookie). I don't know if he's the kind of guy who would do that. Have not watched him play much so this is something I'm curious about. Does he have any sort of mean streak that comes out, if only rarely?

He's in the barn right now.....

He'll get frustrated from time to time, but he seems to have better composure than a guy like Crosby or even McDavid. I'm sure he'll drop them at least once in his career. I think he grew up in a fairly tough area, so he might know how to fight, he seems like a pretty confident kid.

With his reach and strength he could probably be a pretty good tough guy if the actual hockey playing thing doesn't work out lol.

I'd be happy with 45-50 points. There's so many options for Bylsma for the top-9 that's it's really hard to predict his linemates. I just hope Jack can earn Bylsma's trust early on and get 18-22 minutes a night.
