Anyone got an updated statline comparison with Eichel, Toews, Larkin, and whoever else was on there?

Jack Eichel, NCAA, 2014-15 34 20 61 1.79 5.40

Taken from the eichel thread but
Larkin would be in there with: 33GP, 15G, 32A, 47P, 1.42PPG in a league where teams average 5.40 goals per game. Extremely impressive for Larkin and also shows how phenomenal eichel is. I'm excited for these american prospects

so many people said he wouldn't sign a pro contract after this season...well looks like my gut was telling me something right after the WJC..

I guess the wings are leaving it all up to him and dont really mind either way from what I've read. I said this on the wings board but I dont see what he has to learn from the NCAA. Is he going to improve offensively? I doubt it because he just finished the year with the second highest ppg in the NCAA. His defensive game and size arent lacking at all either, they were supposed to be his strengths at the draft and his offense was somewhat questioned. He might as well start figuring out the long grind of a pro season and play against men.

While I don't think that Larkin has a lot to learn from playing NCAA again, I wouldn't fault the kid for wanting to stay another year and enjoy college. While he can always finish his degree (if he wishes), it wouldn't be the same experience as playing and being with friends, and just being a kid. I don't fault him either way but I would like to see him jump pro... kid has talent.

Knowing Detroit they wont rush him. Why not go back for another year?... Score more goals, develop the offensive game even more play another year in the WJC whats the rush exactly? He is only 19 years old.

If he was playing in the CHL he wouldnt even have a choice he would have to go back.

He's 18, actually. Only a few months older than Eichel.

Because he can help Detroit win games and improve more in the NHL than he would anywhere else.

Doubt he'll play much with Detroit if he signs. Probably in grand rapids.

Given how good the Griffins are, that might be two and a half more months of hockey and a championship though....

Also him and Mantha spending the duration of this season and next together might be very interesting if their chemistry takes off.

Apparently he is playing great at the worlds, anyone who watched the games have a better update?

He does it all. Great two-way play, creates chances even when shorthanded. Obviously has lots of speed which allows him to do those things, especially on big ice.

Watched all the games so far. A very dangerous player, excellent on the penalty kill. He's a very defensively responsible player as well. Looked a little nervy at times. I would say that he hasn't converted as many of his chances as you would like and that his play still has a certain naivety about it. He gets away with some things because of his speed that may not work as well at the NHL level. That said, I think that will all come right with some further development and good coaching. I don't think he's as close to being NHL ready as some think but the hype is real.

HF ranks him as the #5 current prospect. Don't necessarily agree, just thought it was interesting.

I think this guy will make a good career in NHL. Just something special about his game. Should have done more points in WC though.

He played the 4C defensive shutdown role. Most players don't put up points from there.

I don't know if you're familiar with Detroit, but Babcock does this thing where he plays his checking line a LOT at even strength. That's what Richards is doing with Larkin's line. They're not really an offensive line (and, honestly, with Moses now they're a little out of sorts, chemistry-wise). They just play tough matchups and shut down opposing lines. So that's what Larkin's doing, and that's also why he isn't scoring a lot. It's just not a scoring role.
