Really impressed yet again last night. I keep waiting for his game to drop off with more and more NHL regulars playing in pre season games but it sure hasn't happened yet

It'd be interesting if Dube bumps Janko off the depth list.

Really can't see that happening. Janko had a very solid rookie season playing in a bottom 6 role. I think his best shot at the moment is on the wing. Even with the great pre-season he's had I think it's going to be close.

Dube needs a solid look tbh. Heck throw him on a line with Bennett Mangiapane (and himself).

Dube should be in over Lazar and Hathaway

He’s been the best player in the ice in every game so far (although Mangiapane was equally as good last night too).

I'd be fine with him over Lazar or Hathaway. I just can't see him slotting in over Janko who had 17 goals in a bottom 6 role last year.

I would like to see either

Gaudreau-Monahan-Dube
Tkachuk-Backlund-Neal
Frolik-Ryan-Lindholm
Bennett-Janko-Czarnik

Or even better:

Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindy
Tkachuk-Dube-Neal
Frolik-Backlund-Ryan
Bennett-Janko-Czarnik

Dube’s speed to drive possession and skate circles around the big guys, Neal and Tkachuk would be too much to handle for smaller D. See if Frolik and Backlund can turn another winger into a possession stud. Scoring depth on line 4.

Better chance of pushing Janko down the depth chart than Bennett

Disagree. I wouldn't be surprised if Bennett is playing on a last chance 1 yr contract next season. He continues to regress season after season if that trend doesn't stop he's in trouble.

He’s looking like a top ten prospect at this point. It’s just getting ridiculous

I don’t think those Brayden Point comparisons are as outrageous as I did a few weeks ago

This kid is really good. He was by no means bad at the WJC, but this is a level of play I have never seen from him. He’s got the speed, the shot, the puck skills, the grit; everything. Honestly, the Flames should be thinking hard about starting him with Gaudreau and Monahan.

Lol no. But I'd love to see a Tkachuk-Dube-Neal line though. Bumps backlund down with Frolik and Ryan to the 4th line, and Jank would likely have to go to the wing. Doubt they'll do that this year though unless he really looks good in his call up.

Him and Gaudreau would give the other team fits with their speed off the rush. Then you have Monahan trailing to finish the plays.

I want to at least see it happen a bit.

This would be good too

Seriously, how is Calgary gonna keep him off the roster? He’s playing unreal right now, it’d be silly to send him down.

Totally agree. What's the most impressive about him is that he's always been considered good defensively and gritty.

Now that he shows how much he can contribute offensively, I think he is a near-lock to start with the big team.

Dube will be starting the season in the NHL. He's certainly impressed - I think at this point his floor is pointing towards a Pageau, IDK about his ceiling but he could definitely be one of those guys who just gets better and better.
