3 assists today in BC’s first playoff game against Umass. Up to 37 points in 31 games and seems to really be refining his playmaking ability.

There's a lot of scepticism over the Flyers board over this pick which I dont understand. Is it the PTSD of being ****** over by the management year after year so they dont trust them to make a good pick?

Them developping him well is one thing, but lot of them are acting like what he is doing at the moment is not that impressive. If I were them, I'd be excited. As a winger or a centre, he seems destined to be a 30 goals scorer in the league.

All of the above. I'm skeptical as well.

I’m pretty high on Cutter, he’s gotten better and more consistent as the year has gone on. If Torts is still there next year, id rather see him stay in school for another year then turn pro. He’s had a really good year, let him stay in school for another year and dominate. He’s not going to get a ton of ice time under Torts and that won’t be good for his development

If a rookie is the best option then Torts will play the heck out of him.

19 year old Werenski was given instant 1D minutes.

19 year old PLD was put at 1C by November and stayed there.

Gauthier is a lot like PLD, I think you'd have a hard time getting Torts to give the kid a rest.

He's playing Owen Tippet 24+ minutes a night right now because he thinks he can be special for whatever it's worth.

The veteran competition just isn't there in Philly. Torts dislikes so many of the veterans. I think he'll play Gauthier a lot.

I thought you were joking but nope. That'd be hilarious if it wasn't so sad.

Tippett is 9th in the league in avg TOI in March with 25:12 thru 3 games.

Next closest forward is Marner with 23:04 lol.
What’s sad about it? The season is over; play the best young players with the highest potential the most and try to accelerate their development.

Yeah maybe I shouldn't have said sad. Maybe odd or strange.

But really at what point is that too much ice time for development lol.

I have no opinion because I don't watch or even track these kids, but for what it's worth, the guys on our board who do have never been big fans going back to before the draft.

6 points in 6 games at the mens worlds, including 5 goals and being named player of the game once already.

some where skeptical about him rise to ultimatey being a top 5 pick last year but so far he’s proved PHI knew what they were doing.

We, Philly, have an awful drafting record for the past decade or so. I’ll believe it when I see it when it comes to any of our highly touted prospects.

As far as I’m concerned we’re right there with NYR for worst developmental org in the league
