Really don’t mind the through game updates on when a player scores or adds an assist. I didn’t know that Geekie scored before I saw @ORRFForever ’s post and saw it bumped.

The scoring update post adds a lot more to the discussion than the posts complaining about it and even my post about not minding it.
Thank you.

I'm going to continue to do it during the games - one or 2 posts, per game, per player is not going to kill anyone. I am adding details / context to the posts and avoiding the simple 1G or 1A - as per a posters request.

In some cases, I may just edit the original post.

For those who find my posts obnoxious, feel free to block me - I will disappear and you won't have to see my ugly face again.

I think a better approach might be to having a single thread called "Top prospect stat tracker" or something where you can post updates and keep running totals in the OP. It would allow you to keep track of a game-by-game basis the way you have been, and would be useful to see all of the prospects running stat line in one spot. I don't enjoy the constant updates in each separate thread for every g and a they get, it's pretty useless that way, but I'd check out a single all encompassing thread because there would be more context.

Guys...

I enjoy posting when a CHL player I root for scores. The players only play 3 times a week and, if they don't score, I post nothing. Plus, some posters like it. Having said that, I will try and keep it to one (or two) post(s) per player, per game.

I'm not going to respond to posters criticizing my posts going forward - I am not breaking any rules and it just snow balls. Plus, if you don't like it, "ignoring" me makes the whole thing go away.

Have a nice weekend, boys.

It really only causes a problem if you create a thread that others are interested in.

Complete player and has the size to go along with it. I have a problem with how high his top-end offensive and puck skills are though. I suggest that it's at a decent level to be a top 15 player, but I don't see the level where I would draft him in the top 7-ish personally. I think he's more along the lines of Nolan Patrick and Jordan Staal than he is at the next level, which would be considered in the Ryan Getzlaf range (unfair to rank him with that type of player).

I think his puck skills and passing are great, but he’s far from complete. He’s got an inconsistent compete level, doesn’t use his frame effectively yet and he’s not strong defensively. His skating really needs some work as well. I think he could be a good top 6 guy but it’s going to take some work to get there.

The younger brother of Seattle Kraken forward Morgan Geekie, Conor Geekie was drafted in the first round, second overall, by the Winnipeg Ice in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft. This season he scored 24 goals and 46 assists for 70 points in 63 games. He also added 49 minutes in penalties and was an incredible +46 this year. Geekie added two goals and six assists for eight points in nine playoff games so far. Geekie also played in the CHL Top Prospects Game.

Curious to see where he comes in on Bob's final list tomorrow. Seems like he is trending on going outside the top 10.

Just missed the Top 10. He went higher than I expected - he's been all over the map depending on the draft list.

Welcome to Arizona
Geekie sounds easily the most CONFIDENT and sharpest of the top 20 players. Easily. He talks the talks and walks the walks. He even has said he plays harder than his own idols... that there tells me alot. He will be one of the biggest catches in this draft and sharks made a mistake in trading the 11th pick. I thought they would draft geekie in fact. Arizona made the real hockey trade there and GOT HIM. They surely have him now. Geekie's confidence is (totally) different than wright's for example. That's the exact reason wright dropped down to number 4. He sounds real rehearsed and robotic in the interview. Many teams and organizations don't love that.

I am glad he got drafted early bc I was praying Peg wouldnt draft him bc he’s a “hometown boy”. Skating is slow, his game plays slow, I don’t think it translates well to the NHL. I think he’s a bottom 6 player, but I could be wrong, and it looks like arizona was after and got their guy. So good on them.

Hail Mary throw for Arizona for sure, you hope he's closer to Ryan Getzlaf than Logan Brown. Great kid though with a great personality .
