Woah, hes out 2 months? Looks like he just went to #2. Grats to the American!!

McDavid out 5-6 weeks means he'll miss about 20-22 games for the Otters
He'd break his hand on the cage...

5-6 weeks (35-42 days) is two months?
real question is why would that ever drop him to #2
The Erie Otters announced Wednesday afternoon that McDavid suffered a fracture of the fifth metacarpal bone in a fight Tuesday night with Mississauga's Bryson Cianfrone when he missed and hit the top of the boards. The fractured bone extends from the base of the pinkie finger to the wrist.
McDavid will not require surgery.
The 17-year-old junior hockey phenom saw a hand specialist in Toronto after X-rays after Tuesday's game were not definitive. Six weeks from Wednesday falls on Dec. 24.
Just as I predicted.
It was a Boxer's fracture.

He was swinging his fist around a little over-zealously.

Lol in all seriousness, Drew Miller of the Red Wings had the same injury returned exactly in 4 weeks. He'll be fine for the World Juniors, and he'll be in form unlike Stamkos preparing for Sochi because it is his hand.
I don't like bringing this incident up in the anti-fighting debate because the major issue with fighting is concussions and thier long term effects.
McDavid could've simply kept his gloves on and he would've been fine here.
And let the other guy take shots at him?

So if Connor broke his leg blocking a shot would there be an outcry to stop blocking shots? Yawn!

Ok how many others on Sweden? Because canada will be missing half a team
Sweden has missed key players at WJC last 5 years, so has Canada.
But Burakovsky is swedens best player while Canada will probably have Mcdavid anyway.
USA has always had their best players, thats why they're so successful.

ERIE, Pa. -- A subsidiary of the Edmonton Oilers has sued the owner of the junior league Erie Otters for US$4.5 million.
An Oilers spokesman says the NHL team isn't commenting on the lawsuit filed Wednesday in federal court in Erie.
The Oilers' subsidiary, Ontario Major Junior Hockey Corp., says it loaned Otters owner Sherry Bassin $4.2 million as part of a never-completed deal to buy the Otters. The subsidiary planned to move the team to Hamilton.
The lawsuit seeks repayment plus interest. It says Bassin didn't sell the Otters to someone else by a Dec. 26 deadline, which would have given Bassin the money to repay the loan.
Bassin tells the Erie Times-News, which first reported the lawsuit, he doesn't expect the lawsuit to affect plans to sell the team to one of two possible buyers.
