I sometimes get mad watching him because I know how close Leafs were to getting him, then he does something majestic and I'm glad I can watch him regardless of where he plays. Kids skills are insane, and I personally think he's the best prospect since Lindros.

My guess would be the 2017-18 season, next year the'll make him one of the 4 alternates, then either name him mid year or at the beginning of the 2017 season. Its a weird situation where Hall is cementing a leadership role, unlike when Crosby was named captain McDavid has other elite young talents who have been on the team a decent amount longer.

I highly doubt he would have put up over a 100 points, I think he would have put up around 80 points if he stayed healthy.

If he goes on a tear he can be a finalist with one of Eichel or Larkin sitting out. But it would have to be a tear.

Oilers have like 29 games left. If he could get 39 points somehow he would end up with 54 in 44 games. I dont know if this could beat a probable 75 point season by Panarin.
