The WHL will have a season and he's already signed his WHL educational agreement which means he can't play in Sweden without the Pats go ahead and why would they let him risk injury

Right now it looks like the WHL season has big troubles.

The WHL needs to be playing hockey. These kids need some normality and hockey competition back. With full physical contact and fighting allowed. This is Western Canada, the OHL can do no contact if they want but that’s stupid.

I’m fine with no fans but the NHLPA, WHL, and Canadians generally writ large need to step up and make sure the boys can play hockey.

The 2021 WJC is going ahead in the bubble in Edmonton. The competition is coming to our country, let’s get it ****ing go here.

European teams and kids are playing, let’s get this up and running and playing the way we play in Western Canada.

I've always wondered if players would gain their development better if they played in an international setting vs a homegrown junior setting..?

Just finished the game. He got a ton of ice time, played PK and was the QB on the PP. Obviously has a high talent level but played like he was 15. Turned over the puck in front of his net that caused the GWG for the other team. Still for a 15 year old playing his first game at the U20 level he looked good and I only expect him to get better as he gets more comfortable.

Watched the game as well. Difficult to know what to expect, 15 year olds pretty much never play J20 hockey. You could see the skill from time to time but he had a pretty quiet game overall. He obviously lacks the strength and explosiveness to be really effective against older players. Would really like to see his full offensive repertoire on display in a J18 game.
