Been dozens, hundreds (depending on how far you want to go back) of guys Bedard's size or smaller who've played in the AHL. Wouldn't be a good idea for him to play in the ahl, for many reasons, but he could...easily. According to most reports Krebs was one of Henderson's best players in his short time there. What's the difference between Krebs and Bedard?. The best players in the whl can almost always play in the ahl, that's been true for a very very long time.

That's not how this works at all. Crosby was by FAR the best player in the CHL at 16, and was developed physically compared tp Bedard, but still striggled a bit in the WJC playing against the best 18/19 year olds.

Bedard would struggle massively in the AHL and to think otherwise shows a lack of understanding how hockey works

Outscored his teammates by 6 points tho. No chance he'll get close to McJesus' production unless Bedard gets really hot in medal games, but 8 points in 5 games for 15yo is still pretty elite.

McDavid wasn't 15 years old when he played the U18 tournament. He was 16 years 3 months approx. benefit of a January b-day. Bedard doesn't turn 16 until July.

and in 2013 McDavid played brilliantly in all 7. He just didn't get any goals or apples in the semifinal or final.

Anyone shitting on him doesn’t understand hockey. The guys a double Underager in a best on best tournament (playing underwhelming countries to be fair), at an age where being younger and having less developmental years makes a gigantic difference.

Never said he would be the best player there. 16 must be magical number eh? Dozens of 16 year olds have played pro hockey, but i guess it's totally out of the realm of possibility for 15 year old who's better than a bunch of those 16 year olds.
