Mitch Brown (from EP) wrote an article on Bedard's "slow" start, concluding that he was basically just unlucky in terms of production. Brown tracks scoring chances, passes creating scoring chances, etc. and said that Bedard, for all of this season, was basically breaking his charts by how dominant he was in those areas. Puck just wasn't going in for him.

Not sure it was really covid, but just not great puck luck. He's getting some now and torching the league.
Fair enough.

Appeared to be having a quiet game, then bam - late game heroics.

1 goal and 1 assist, including the OT winner.

After his start I was beginning to wonder what was going on, with how well he played his first WHL season, but I see he is starting to rip it up now.

Well Crosby is the Haley Wickenheiser of men's hockey.

Look at the deception on that play, and how teams have learned they have to respect his playmaking ability this season. That’s the evolution we wanted to see from him.

Earlier I thought the Pats were putting him too high on the PP. This goal is exactly where he needs to be, left side top circle. His shot is impossible to stop from the circle in.

Yeah he is turning into a complete offensive monster still another year to develope and two more off seasons he is scary
How good will he be when he actually physically matures? He still has his little boy baby fat. He might be one of those guys who is great now, but when he becomes a man he will be near to unstoppable.

Quietly moving up the leaderboard, T14 in WHL scoring now. 15 points back of the league leader (who has played 9 more games).

Yeah, I don't think he's getting much taller (probably 5'11" at max), but I coul easily see him around 200 lbs given his frame. Still think he's got a fair amount of growth left.

He's very quickly climbing up the leaderboard on some very good players. Only 3 points less than Guenther and Savoie now with less games played and significantly worse surrounding talent. Should be a treat to watch next year.
