Isn't he top in the NHL in scoring chances lol
And he's burying how many? What percentage?

Again, it's not going to happen but, if he was any other player, unless things change, he be going down for a little seasoning / weight gain.

Where exactly would you like to see him playing ?
That is an excellent question. In an ideal world, the AHL - and that may not be an option.

Again, he's NOT going anywhere so my point is moot.

Down to CHL?.. If he should go down, it should be loan to one of European pro leagues, NLA or SHL, because he can't play in AHL. But yeah, it's not gonna happen so no point to discuss it.

It took McDavid 3 games to get a point. Hughes took 7.

Bedard has 3pts in 4 games. On an awful Hawks squad. Getting tough matchups every night and Hawks haven't been able to dictate any matchups because they don't get their 1st home game until this coming Saturday.

He also has 20sog in 4 games. One of the only 3 (or maybe 4, seen conflicting stats on this) rookies to get at least 20sog in their first 4 games.

If Bedard looks terrible and shouldn't be in the league quite yet, then guys like McDavid, Hughes, and 99 percent of the league shouldn't have been entering the league when they did either.

This kid is going to go on a total tear the league a new asshole run at some point this year. Like just destroy some poor goalies' pelvic floors.

The coverage is a lot. But as much as it makes me feel for him, that's what being a superstar is, so he might as well get used to it. McDavid doesn't score in 2-3 straight games and he's answering questions about it. Crosby, Lemieux, Gretzky, before him.

I didn't watch the whole game, but his worst game of the first 4?

i think, what i saw. He didn't connect many of his passes,
he was switched between center and a winger (again).

He did record another 5 shots on goal, but those shot attempts that i saw,
goalie saw them really well and his scoring chances do not look dangerous at all,
the opposite actually.

He gets relatively easily to a scoring chance (due to his skating ability)
but his shot is too readable, too predictable, for a pro level goalie.

He still mighty struggles with his face-offs, not that he has taken a whole lot of them
47 in 4 games,, but won only 13 of them. Which pushes it just above 25%.

The effort is there. still, tremendous speed, but his age at the moment is one
of the things that hurts him (with his body) he doesn't yet think like a pro player.
nor does he hae a pro physique (just because he is ripped, for a 5 foot 9ish player,
doesn't mean he has pro physique)

good luck kiddo, i hope can do it

No, i think against Montréal was his “worst” (I say in quotation marks because he wasn’t even awful, just not as impactful) game. Against perhaps the best line in the league tonight I thought he was good but not great. Was good in transition again, and had a near highlight real goal in the first. Thought he floated a bit in the defensive zone, and swung too far away from the side boards on breakouts, he had the puck less than in the first two games. Pretty bad at the dot again.

Well, we are 4 games in and so far my projections are exactly where I thought they would be. On to Colorado and then the home opener against Vegas Baby Vegas. The schedule maker didn't do the kid any favors with the first 5 game road trip of the season and then the defending SC Champs to open up at home. I still say he needs 10-15 games to figure shit out.

I predicted this guy would be good even before the season started. You could say I have an eye for spotting young talent.
PM me if you’re a scout lurking on here looking to expand your staff.
Personally I think they need to loan him out to HC Davos for the rest of the year.
