Blades have the second best GA in the entire league as well. Only Seattle gave up less goals.

If the Pats win, they are gonna play Moose Jaw next. They could meet the Ice in conf finals.

Is there voter fatigue with nominating Bedard as one of the 3 stars? or are they just numb to his crazy production? He was only the second tonight with 4 points, maybe the goalie played amazing.

I'm not just talking about this game, but in general it seems to happen a fair bit.

I was there tonight. Goalie was not that good. Couple of softies, it was also a bad game by Chadwick (Blades goalie).

Bedard was his usual awesome self. Three primary assists and a goal.

If you’re reading this Connor hold out and demand a trade to Anaheim if they find land the first overall.

Thank you, D2Z

Honestly, I think analyzing the elements of Bedard’s game that might not translate to the NHL or your perceived weakness in his game is almost completely irrelevant and wasted effort.

This guy has a champion mentality. Big game guy that has improved so much throughout the last year. It’s going to be really exciting to see what he will accomplish in the NHL. I have a feeling he will improve in all facets extremely quickly as a pro.

I too have a feeling he will improve the faucets at SAP Arena extremely quickly if drafted by us. Maintenance staff at SAP Arena probably thinking, we got the next superstar, gotta get the best new faucets for him, nothing less.

Just as I predicted. Bedard doing Bedard things.

Game 7 it is. He can become a junior legend with one more game like that - that results in a team W. Doesn't really matter what happens in the 2nd, rd. after that. Pats could get swept in 4 and Bedard could put up donuts - doesn't matter. Legend.

On to the pro game with one Team Canada WHC stop in between in May. Just so I can kick off BBQ season the right way.

Do you think Canada picks under sized 17 year old to the worlds? - even if it was Bedard

Has Canada ever picked a player under 18 to mens worlds? McDavid wasn't, nor Crosby.

I give 10% chance that to happen

What makes you think it would not happen? The reason why McDavid and Crosby did not attend the World Championships, is that both players were battling for their respective teams in the junior hockey playoffs when the 2005 and 2015 tournaments began. McDavid and the Erie Otters were eliminated in the Conference Finals a day after the 2015 Worlds began, so he would not have been eligable. For Crosby, he took Rimouski to the Memorial Cup, so that obviously overlapped with the 2005 World Championships.

Unless Regina wins Game 7, then makes a shocking upset against the #1 ranked Winnipeg Ice, Bedard will be eligible for the Worlds this year.

Canada will gladly take bedard. They may even use him on the wing to help shelter him from more physical play.

Bedard's mentality is definitely different than what Crosby and McDavid showed in junior. He seems to embrace being the best player much more readily. More assertive and willing to completely carry the load. I still don't think that he'll translate as well as they did but it's wildly impressive. He will be a great player in the NHL soon.

If the Arizona Coyotes win the draft lottery, it is a pretty safe bet that the arena debate will be settled quickly, and shovels hit the ground a few weeks later.

I'm gonna have to say this preemptively before people get freaked out. Saskatoon and Regina are going to play each other in the first round. Bedard will be driven off the puck on every play by one of the best defensive teams in the country and will likely not pile up a ton of points in the playoffs. No that won't hurt his draft stock, no it won't be a question mark on his game, no it won't be a bad sign for the next level. Any prospect except McDavid would struggle against the playoff series that Bedard is about to play.
How are you preparing your crow today?

And his team might lose the series lmao
He obviously doesn't have what it takes if he can't win a playoff round by himself right?:sarcasm:

Already pretty damning, but if Bedard posts another big game on Monday it will live on as an hfboards classic.
It's almost as good as the "Tom Wilson isn't living rent free in the NYR minds" thread by an otherwise very good poster several years ago.
