Saskatoon is really sitting back in the 3rd. I feel like that's a recipe for disaster.

(As they score like 1 minute later lol)

Some bozo prematurely shot the puck in with tons of daylight for an icing. Then they hit the linesman trying to clear. And Regina scores. 2-1. Things getting interesting.

Mucky goal. Bedard with an assist.

Regina given a gift by the official who kept the puck in the zone there, and Bedard gets an assist, 2-1 now.

Bedard hasn't looked all that good in this game, he looks gassed.
Not so much gassed, flustered. Saskatoon isn't giving him any ice

And he got knocked off the puck for a giveaway that led to the 3rd Saskatoon goal.

A gassed Bedard turns it over after playing probably 12 minutes in the third period. He thought he was tripped. But it leads to a Saskatoon putaway goal. Bedard furious snapped his stick and started yelling at the ref. That’ll do it.

Saskatoon adds an empty netter with 1:49 to make it 4-1. That’s all, folks.

I'm surprised that he didn't get a call there to be honest. WHL doesn't subscribe to the NHL game management.

Also I hope that Blades fans continue to show up in the 2nd round like this. I say this as someone that lived in Saskatoon for a number of years and went to my share of Blades games, it's kind of embarrassing that it takes Regina to make them care about their team finally.

Blades radio broadcaster said Bedard may not go to the World Championships, though clarified that he may reconsider with the series over now. Has there been any other discussion of that?

Damn looked like a trip to me on the replay there, definitely a sour ending to an amazing junior career.

Apparently(according to the Saskatoon color guy) Bedard won't be representing Canada at the World Championships.

JustLinda indicates it's an insurance issue since he's still 17 (most draft year kids have turned 18 by May of their draft year, but Bedard is a July birthday so he won't be an adult in time).

That makes absolutely no sense… Bedard played at the U18 at ages 15 and 16.

Bedard's Regina teammates will have to hit him up for tickets, because that's the only way those kids are seeing an NHL arena.

That Czech (I think) Defenseman is the only player worth a damn. You could take a nap every time the puck wasn't on Bedard's stick.

Howe will make it someday. He didn't have a great season but he's a legit future talent.

Edit: meant playoffs

Tanner Howe is younger than Bedard and is a player...

Pretty good production for a Late '05, but I guess we'll see what he can do without Bedard on his team next year.
I'm looking forward to spamming his thread with multiple posts for his entire Regina career.

Sam Steele was fun to watch, Howe will be more of a buzzsaw. I can't wait for the 24/25 playoffs.
