Sometimes a guy gets picked in the draft and all kinds of neutral observers, whether fans or scouts or other hockey people, say it's a steal. And then to open the next year they appear very much like a steal.

Probably a steal until proven otherwise.

Him missing all that time ,more than likely caused his stock to drop .Everybody knows he is a good prospect .If he keeps this up ,he will go from a good prospect. To a good pro with lots of potential,in the near future:handclap:

I thought I read somewhere that he wasnt on the first line...more like 2nd or 3rd which makes the stats even more impressive.

Next Dylan Larkin??

Almost blasphemous to suggest considering how well Larkin is playing right now, but their numbers are almost identical playing in the same roles for the USNTDP, US U18 Team and at the WJC-U18s, and now White is producing similar to Larkin at the NCAA level.

Probably optimistic to think he's going to challenge for the Calder next season, but he's definitely not far off from a guy like Larkin.

He was actually one of the few guys I wanted the Canucks to draft. Not surprised he's good.

From the BC Hockey Blog following yesterdays game

"We could talk all day about the freshmen and their contributions to the team but I've only seen one rookie in this league look like he's on such a higher level than everybody on the ice. That guy was the #2 overall pick in this year's NHL draft. I'm not saying Wood or White are as good as Eichel but no one was expecting either of them to come here and be the top two players in Hockey East so early in their careers."

"Why BC Won-

1. White, Fitzgerald, and Wood were tremendous. Ryan Fitz led the way with four points but I thought Colin White, once again, was their best forward. I've never seen a freshman get so much ice time; he plays power play, penalty kill, and in late game situations."

You honestly just cant not like this kid. Hes so reliable. Id do alot to have this kid in my prospect pipeline.

Can't say I'm surprised, even when he was dropping in the rankings I was still high on this kid.

It's funny how teams trip over themselves trying to get the new Lucic (Crouse) and let the new Bergeron (White) slip by.

Looks amazing. I'm happy that a draft looks like it will live up to the hype for once. Nearly every first round pick looks like they have the potential to be impact NHLers. Incredible.

I was telling everybody that would listen in the mock drafts that the Sens should take him at 18... We got Chabot there and White at 21... Love our picks in the first round both look like they could have easily gone higher.

between him and Thomas Chabot, Sens fans should be having seizures right about now....those prospects are unreal..
