Yes, I know, and got sent into the PAP for months each time for recreational drug use. Not for taking PEDs and cheating the game/league he plays for. Ekblad is going to miss approximately one month.

Ekblad is going to miss approximately one month because the first positive test is 20 games.
The league isn't picking 20 games right now, it's just in the rules that it's 20 games.
ARTICLE 47 47.8-47.8
(i) for the first positive test, a suspension of twenty (20) NHL Games without pay, and mandatory referral to the SABH Program for evaluation and possible treatment;
(ii) for the second positive test, a suspension of sixty (60) NHL Games without pay, and mandatory referral to the SABH Program for evaluation and possible treatment;
(iii) for the third positive test, a "permanent" suspension, although a Player so suspended can reapply for discretionary reinstatement after a minimum period of two (2) years by making an application to the Program
Committee.

What's amazing to me is that although he is being suspended for 20 games (supposedly for a financial hit as well as to give him time to reflefct by being away from the team) and the ink has not even dried on the referral to the PAP, he's already assuring us, he's learned this lesson.
Well damn son, that makes all the difference in the world. Dude doesn't even need the suspension or referral, he's learned his lesson already.

I really want the Leafs to catch Florida and take the division so we can get Panthers/Lightning in the 1st round.
A hobbled Tkachuk, no Ekblad for two games, who knows how effective Marchand will be. Would be interesting.

Serious question on PEDs. Hard enough keeping my own ducks drugs in a row, but are their any valid uses for the PEDs that these dudes are getting popped for?
Like, if I had a similar injury, would my doctor prescribe me something similar, if i was working construction or something requiring more physically intensive effort? If so, are players allowed to use them under the guidence of a league certified medical professional?
Or... are there no theuraputic effects to these PEDs and they are only about cranking the body past limits natural growth wouldn't allow?

Give me an easy first round every time over a difficult opponent where the series is likelier to go 7 games and likelier to cause injuries.
With that said, if Heiskanen is out for the first round but returning for round 2 there's a pretty good case to be made that it's better to play Dallas in round 1.

Not only was Dallas on his list of teams, it sounds like the second place contender was EDMONTON, who almost got him but the Canes liked Stankoven more than whatever they offered. I honestly cannot decide which colors I would hate to see Rantanen in more.
I hope Rantanen's next contract is paid 30 pieces of silver at a time.
