Yeah based on the gif it certainly did look like a dick move. I'll go with the other poster's explanation for the diss. you know say whatever you want about Bettman though. He's got pretty thick skin and can laugh at himself.

It looked like it was just one of those awkward situations where White didn't now what to do. He had already shaken Bettman's hand when he walked up onto the stage in the first place, so he wasn't sure if he should do it again. Doubt he was intentionally being a dick.
