Who I wanted Montreal to move up and pick, just an awesome player went earlier than I expected but he's a player you win with.
I really felt NJ paid premium for Schneider. Goalies rarely garner that much in return but it looks like the trade worked out for both sides.

Kid has just been getting better as the season rolls on. Just needs to keep it going and should have himself a nice rookie season as a 19yr

Bo played 15 minutes tonight ( most on the season) many shifts head to head vs Crosby and played outstanding. He's beyond what I expected him to be this year. He's developing great and in a full season on pace for around a 12 goal , 28 point rookie year. All while leading rookies in faceoff percentage

I love how Willie D is deploying Horvat. Willie will occasionally match Horvat against guys like Crosby and Toews to give him a taste of what it takes to play against the best centres in the game.
The fact that Desjardins feels comfortable enough to play Horvat in these circumstances while we're holding a playoff spot is nothing short of remarkable.

Yeah. There's a reason the Canucks targeted him so heavily. Just a great player and great guy. Future captain. He's like a more skilled Brendan Morrow but without the snarl.
Horvat is rapidly becoming untouchable as a potential franchise cornerstone, if not there already....close to 60% on the draw and strong as an ox down low...scary to think what this kid will be like when he's 23 or so....Schneider trade was a big risk for VanCity, but looks like they might have hit a home run with this one.

What a horrible trade for schnieder!! Well hes going to be the next patrice bergeron... He didnt dominate at world juniors this guy isnt going to pan out in the NHL.....He shutdown crosby last game he is an elite center!!!

Have you seen Horvat play? I'd be interested in how he looks compared to Couturier at the same age, statistically he's on pace for a similar first season.
