My guess is because he was underwhelming at the world juniors given the hype.

Edit: I think there was a night and day difference between him playing for Canada vs him playing in Uni.

Probably so, he wouldn't be the first top level guy to be underwhelming in their draft years at the world juniors though, i'd be careful on basing too much on that if I were them.

I find it odd to see the amount of criticism Fantilli has received for a freshman player who has won the Hobey Baker and has his size/skillset.

Strange stuff and I've got to wonder what's really behind that.

If Bedard was in next years draft... I cannot even imagine the hype Fantilli would be getting.

Chinakov seems to be a forgetten man around here lately. He started to really come into his own before he got hurt last year. I'm really excited for him this year.
