Yeah he really did. I just don't think we should bench him.Buff was not on the ice for any of the 4 regulation time goals and was on the ice for ALL 4 goals against.
So, beside the assist on the overtime goal, he had a terrible game.
So if Little wouldn't be there to finish his missed wrap-around there is a big chance he would be on the ice for all 5 goals and finish the night with -4. Yep not the worst player on a teamBuff was not on the ice for any of our 4 regulation time goals for, and was on the ice for ALL 4 goals against.

Little changing my tune. I just said today Lowry had a bigger impact this season than him and he puts in two goals.
I feel like Connor has slowed down a bit. He did what Morrissey and Laine did and loaded up on muscle and it's noticeable that all 3 lost a bit of a step. Morrissey still hasn't gotten his back. Kid used to fly in junior.
Am I out to lunch for thinking it might be some minor injury? To me his speed seemed fine up until 4-5 games ago.
edit Talking about O'Connor

Rewatch the video. IF Little had missed the puck, it would have ended up in the corner. It was in no way a risky play and on top of that, it paid off.In all honesty I see Buff's game regressing (super slow) and he is not the same physical player from last year.
He took the absolute worst penalty at the worst time after that 4th San Jose goal.
We were very fortunate that San Jose got a too many men penalty.
Buff got lucky in overtime with his wandering.
If Little missed that goal on Buff's missed wraparound San Jose was off to the races.
I'd expect it to be Laine-Wheeler-Roslovic, but still .That Roslovic-Wheeler-Laine line was a train wreck.
I'd expect it to be Laine-Wheeler-Roslovic, but still .
The first time I noticed Roslovic out there for Connor I thought he was playing LW.
I was thinking... "man is Maurice trolling the Laine fans?"
My thought exactly! "Let's put farm league LW on Laine's spot. Didn't work out? Let's try farm league RW..."
LOL, a veteran 7 mil veteran defender, arguably strongest guy in NHL did nothing to prevent fourth goal and than takes stupidest penalty that's embarrassing

If you motivate idiot, you have a motivated idiotI think Maurice started another D recently, but might be wrong. Point is that a lot of coaches would have benched Buff, especially for OT. Maurice has to balance tough love with trying to keep Buff motivated and enthusiastic. It's a fine line.
On another note, this was a big game for playoff implications. Jets jumped 3% (to 94%) according to Hockeyviz.
