I don't give a **** if we lose the next 5 games, I don't want to lose against Gion, Gorges and the freaking Buffalo Sabres.

Just checked NHL.com and saw the score... knew it. Soon as they said Buffalos 14 odd regulation game loss streak, I knew it'd change tonight. Just saw Prust's hit then goal. I'm not a Prust fan (possibly my least favourite in terms of actual play and just don't enjoy him), but man, well, well done Prust. I give him major props for that play. Sucks to see this score, and I want to complain about a lack of effort by the Habs, but admittedly I've only seen about 7 mins of this game. It always seems like the Habs struggle against the Sabres and the Sharks against the Oilers (last two nights for me), but I guess I'll take it as "they're so good, they take nights off vs. these teams). Wishful thinking, perhaps, but I'm in a good mood (and I'm a huge homer).

Hard day of shopping (carrying $150 of groceries on a 25ish min. walk in -30 celcius weather home isn't as fun as it sounds), cleaning, school, etc. so just sitting down and relaxing is sweet, so I guess it's time to see if my internet stops acting up (I've got Hockeystreams, so that's definitely not the issue).

[Insert the obligatory you're only here when they're losing. Why don't you go cheer for the Bruins/Leafs, this team is awesome]

As much as everyone may hate Dale ****ing Weise on the first line, the sad reality is, that isn't even the biggest, or even close to the main concern...

EDIT: Well, it's close.

Lol I'm always here. It's not the BIGGEST concern, but it is a concern that Weise is on our top line. It says a lot about our depth up front IMO. Weise is out of his element on the top line and is better suited on the 3rd. The sad thing is we don't have a true top-6 RW after Gallagher, and he's better for the 2nd line, not 1st.

My biggest concern relates more to the coaching staff. This team is never prepared unless they play Boston, it seems. Also, our D is so incredibly soft. It's really easy in our zone.

I did not say corsi was a bad stat or that tonight game was a proof of anything. I said the stat is overrated and it is.

CORSI is the only thing we hear about these days. We have come to a point where people don't care about the score anymore but just the corsi numbers.

CORSI is like the +/-. It serves a purpose but some people are reading way too much out of the stat.

It gives a general idea, nothing more.

Just look at the top teams in SF/G and SA/G. Most top teams are at the top of both columns, and for good reasons. The Habs are bottom 10 in both categories, and it only highlights what has been noted by many by the eye test. We get outplayed consistently.

We're a statistical outlier right now. Things tend to regress to the mean. That's all there is to it. It shows that our stats are unsustainable if anything.

There is a devils game the night before. What's more exciting than a Devils game on a Saturday night. :sarcasm:

I know there's other variables in play but I find it extremely annoying that a big rivalry game is played on a back to back on Sunday...

MaxPac sleep with MT's daughter? He's now stuck with DD and Weise?

Plek is streaky and not a great play maker. He puts up points but doesn't really set up others that well. Only Chucky has that ability.

This is going to sound really ignorant but you'd figure proud, hyper-competitive men who've battled and clawed their way into the NHL would have some pride and challenge Therrien's ridiculous tactics? No?

Under Jacques the Count we had a very rigid breakout and it proved to be fruitful (until it didn't), but the Therrien breakout is nothing of the sort and terribly ineffective - it's so frustrating to see.

Therrien's thought after 40 minutes is that Plekanec is the problem on Pacioretty's line, not Weise. #ThatsSoTherrien

Gallagher can't shoot, either.

What's sad is, he isn't on pace to get 20 goals this year. He needs a hot streak soon.
