No they didn’t. The bruins beat them in the first round in 2010 and Philly beat them in the first round in 2011.
2007 was the last season they won a playoff round.
yikes , I was way off. Thanks
They went to back ta back conference finals 2006 and 2007.

Any other organization would be thinking about removing KA from his role.
except the Penguins.

Tonight's game of Montreal vs Buffalo is the hockey version of "El Sackico"
Both Ruff and St. Louis are on the hot seat. Which coach loses and who gets fired?

Neither should. Ruff has been there for 10 seconds and deserves at least 1-2 years. MSL has been given a garbage team. Both should blame GM's before coaches.
MSL was a peewee coach before taking over a garbage team. Is it any wonder they haven't shown any improvement what so ever. Not even increments. The GM who bottomed the Habs out was fired. There are lots if experienced NHL, AHL, and Junior coaches that woukdcserve the Habs better than MSL and his "baby steps" philosophies.
He'll get the rest of another inconsequential regular season. Then he will be replaced. His GM ( & former agent) will find another spot for MSL further down the trough.

Sabres to break the streak tonight.

Nah, people still have drank the MSL kool-aid in MTL. He should have been canned a long time ago. They won’t fire him, he was a PR hire.

"Answer is in the room" is the most bullshit saying in sports.

A couple more losses and heads roll.
Has any team ever lost 10 in a row and actually made the playoffs? Like how do they think they can spin this garbage it's not like they have the capability to go on a comparable winning streak they have won like 3 in a row max the past two seasons.

Philly lost ten straight and made the playoffs a few years ago. They also won ten straight and missed the playoffs the year before that.

Sabres would be doing Ruff a favor by firing him and getting him out of that gong show of an organization. 13 straight seasons without making the playoffs. A guy who has been there less than half season is far from a major issue with Buffalo.

Oh, I don't think they can actually do anything to make the playoffs.

I've never been on the Sabres bandwagon. I'm very much in the "You're not a playoff team until youre a playoff team" camp. I think a lot of their young talent is overrated.

I just don't think they'll do nothing. Someone will lose a job. Probably more then one. Trades will be made. I don't buy that they're a "good enough" team that is underperforming.

This is the team that has given up. Shots 9-0, 3 goals allowed, 1 recalled. In a statement game. So this is the statement, they quit.

Also objectively, Sabres owners have to figure something out, they can't keep changing things for the sake of changing. It's been the same carousel for 15 years. Let's say they fire Ruff. Who wants that job now other than a complete shot in the dark college coach.

Don’t forget the Habs are also a team that doesn’t want to lose tonight, especially a home game against Buffalo. They have been booed last time too…
