Sherwood came out of University and played 50 games in the NHL as a 23 year old. Somebody recognized something.
The next three years, through COVID, he split between the NHL and the AHL. He played only 26 games in 20/21 and managed greater than 1.5 ppg in the AHL
The next year was his 75 point year in 57 games. I don't care who you are, that production is seriously good.
I'm wondering whether his long route to being an NHL regular had more to do with COVID than anything else. What ever the reason, I'm glad he's on our side.
