Is there a reason not to start Haggerty at this point? Let's see what this kid has. It's not like it matters anyway.

I'd rest Lundqvist, Zucc, Giradri, and Richards at this point, and keep Kreider and McD on the shelf.

Cam in net, Haggerty in, and call up McI, Lindberg, and Kristo, and see what that have.

Lundqvist will finish this season with 33 wins, 2.36GAAand a .920SV% w/ 5 shutouts.

Not bad. Certainly not a Vezina year, but I think there were only six/seven goaltenders with 50+ games that had a higher SV%. He played like his normal self for the last 35 games of the season.

It was subpar for him, but not by much, and it is a strong season, statistically, for any starter. Even if fans are bitter with his slow start. His season mirrored Bobrovsky's in a lot of ways.

As AV said too, it was him elevating his game back around Dec 20th, that started the Rangers on a tear to the post season.

It's also his 5th season in a row with a .920SV% or greater. He is currently the only goaltender in the NHL with that streak playing as a starter (Rask recently became a starter). He definitely deserves more credit than the flack he got for an inconsistent and bad start. Not only did he salvage his individual season to make it quite respectable, more importantly he contributed in a big way to getting the Rangers home ice.

i went to the game for the 1st time this year lol. i feel like i see so much more on tv then when at a game tho. decent win against a really bad team. it shudnt have been so difficult. there were actually a fair number of sabres fans where i was sitting. good for them to still come out and support the ahl sabres at the end of the year.

I was disappointing to see that they were so lose in the first 2 periods. I know Buffallo has tightened up considerably since the Olympic break but this should have been 5 goal night for the NYR. Two games in a row with lack luster starts. That **** ain't gonna fly in the playoffs.

The huge positive that has come from the past 2 games is that Richards and St. Louis are getting their grooves back & Boyle has really been coming on hard core. He always ramps it up the last 10 games of the season and seemingly becomes the teams best player for big chunks of the playoffs.

Look for Talbot to start at least one of these last two games. He deserves the start and needs to keep himself sharp just in case the unthinkable happens.

Anyone have a picture of that graphic about Nash after the game?

Funny how in a season where he suffered a concussion, missed extended time and has been oft maligned by the fan base, he has tied for the franchise record in GWG's in a season (with Messir and Jagr no less).

Eh. Buffalo is an awful team overall, but they are a decent defensive team. I think the fact that we gave up so many chances is what's concerning. At least Hank was up to it tonight.

I said that Lundqvist has been having trouble with rebounds.

The fact that he should take lessons from Talbot was meant mostly jokingly

I think people just didn't like when you mentioned it. It was after Hank stopped a hard shot high off the shoulder, that's a shot that if you can't glove it, you're just happy to stop it. Very hard to control that rebound unless it goes off your shoulder and up, but this puck wasn't high enough for that. That was a solid save and he made two great saves on the rebounds.

If anything I think Talbot sometimes struggles with rebounds. He can be perfect all night with them but there are also times where they get away from him. Happens to all goalies.

was at the game. I love when I talk **** about a player and they end up scoring. Most of the time it's me getting on Nash -- boy oh boy.

Excited for playoffs, was a little annoyed with play the first two periods but seemed just off.

I unfortunately am always hawking about Nash, J. Moore and Boyle.

I think my personal thing with Nash is he's such a beast but I feel like he doesn't bring it out.

A little love for John Moore please. He played a very good game. We aren't winning more than one round without McD, anyway. But I think this team has a lot of potential for next year.

Like Fast's game. Looked a lot more sure of himself. Bet he scores a goal Saturday.

Brian Boyle couldn't score into an open net from two feet. But I do like he's been more physical lately.

Funny I was told that he can't score big goals*.

*I'm well aware that a GWG doesn't necessarily mean that it's a big goal.

Not happy with only 2 goals today but that was really 2 beautiful goals. Zucc is our best playmaker since Jagr. The guy is amazing. Brassard is a great passer too. He hasn't looked like he has in the playoffs in that department, but I feel like he's deferring to Zucc or something.

Ok, I missed the game, but can someone please tell me that the 11-3 shot advantage in the 3rd period that was tied for 18 minutes for the Sabres is misleading. PLEASE. That's a pathetic effort in tied game against the worst team in the league.
