I hope Jack has a very healthy life but also not healthy enough to be himself player wise and ends up being a liability. Otherwise we're never getting past them. The Avs players seemingly already have PTSD from playing them last playoffs, let alone now.

See Vegas knows they could very well really suck because of injuries this year. If it was unprotected i think this pick had serious potential for the Sabres but alas its not

Having an unprotected 1st in '23 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

That would give the Sabres 2 1sts in '22 (I really don't see the tires falling off for the Panthers) and then 2 1sts in '23.

LOL the 1st is unprotected and Eichel will be out for the season. If this pick wins the lottery, hoo boy.
You just know the NHL will pull some BS about how Buffalo can't pick 1st multiple times. Vegas always gets special treatment.

Same as every other team. What is unique about this situation?

Wasn’t aware that teams often traded Vezina goalies and have them find out while scrolling twitter.

and what about signing fan favourite Nate Schmidt to a long term deal and trading him a year later?

So basically the somewhat expected package.

Vegas will win this one easily if Eichel can get back close to his old level.

But considering how things unfolded and how untenable this situation was longterm for the Sabres if they were not willing to budge on the medical standoff, I get why they pulled the trigger.

Lmao at the return. You can’t make it up.

I’m sure NYR, BOS, OTT (and maybe even cheap MTL) all offered way more to get Eichel, and Buffalo was all  nah we’ll under trade him to go out west.

Krebs, Tuch, top-10 protected 1st round pick (likely to be a very late 1st) and potentially a swap of picks. :biglaugh:!

I wonder how many millions of dollars VGK owners will make from this point until Eichel steps on the ice in Eichel memorabilia

Safe to say Kevin Weekes was inhaling with that tweet yesterday. The Flames (fake) package laps this one.
