3 Great pieces. Cancer gone. Bills esque (See ya Sammy and Marcell)

We are ahead of the Murray rebuild.

We didn't trade for just picks, we got good young talent and picks.

We have a good base and our closer to developing them now than waiting for a draft, banking on losing, and getting rid of winning players.

We have a better coach now that is all about development which really makes me feel better too.

Donny Paisano will make uh the spaghetti and a meatballs and create a family of talent.

There still will have to be additional moves coming since, as things would stand here, the Sabres can't activate Mittlestadt or Jokiharju from IR since they're too close to the floor to send anyone on their roster now to the AHL.
Do they have to be cap compliant at the time of the trade or by the end of the day?

Seems like they have very little wiggle room. I'm assuming they need to paper transaction Murray and R2/Cozens to the AHL to make room on their 23 man roster so they can accept Tuch and Krebs. Without those salaries, won't they be below the lower limit?

Can Krebs be assigned directly to the AHL?

Kind of hoping Seravalli’s tweet about the package including a defenseman as well ends up being true when the trade call is finalized.

That being said, just glad this turd is gone. Disliked him prior to him even being selected based on what I heard from others in college hockey.

Who would have thought a few years back that Jack Eichel would be traded in the near future and the trade thread would only be five pages long a couple hours after the trade news broke?

Yes it was. RoR is a Selke, and Conn Smyth winner and a top 10 Hart candidate. It remains one of the top 10 worst trades in NHL history. Tage and Ryan Johnson would both have to become all stars for the trade to become merely bad.
And they took over $20M in cap dumps.

Meh

I didn't like Krebs at the draft and continue to not be high on him now. Would very much like to be proven wrong.

Funny that, more or less, we had the framework for this trade months ago. All things considered it seems like a reasonable return that Sabres fans shouldn't be too upset about. If Eichel returns 100% healthy he's the best player in the trade but there are unknowns about what his future holds and the Sabres acquired two decent players along with another first round pick which may happen in a deep draft. I'm just glad you guys no longer have to waste your time in the Eichel thread. lol

The St. Louis Blues were DEAD f***ING LAST even with RoR scoring at a ppg until Jordan "horseshoe" Binnington appeared. And since their fluke run they have won 2 playoff games total, not series, games. Enough about RoR. "Top 10 Hart candidate", what does that even mean? RoR is now a top 10 player?

Kidding aside, Buffalo is amassing some serious future pieces. They could be very scary one day soon but I have a voice in the back of my head, the same one that Buffalo fans have…and that voice is running through scenarios of how they can screw it all up.
