So I can think of two specific posters who will be thrilled by this - @Der Jaeger has long loved Tuch's game. Jame was a huge Krebs fan in his draft year as well.

I'm curious if there is more salary coming along. Seems like this is low.

Foaming at the mouth just thinking about the core + prospect pool in the future. I like this deal a lot. See how it plays out in the future nonetheless. Wish Jack best of luck.

I love Krebs and Tuch and the fit. Ideally, their would have been one more piece involved but I can live with this considering.

Krebs, Cozens, Mittelstadt, Quinn, Tuch, Peterka, Olofsson, Asplund, Thompson, Skinner

Time will tell if we get a 1C out of the current group but I think that is a young forward group you can really do things with.

It’s a nice stable of prospects, for sure. Add in Rosen. But prospects are just that and the Sabres’ development has been underwhelming for some time. But it’s always kind of a dice roll. And they have a lot of dice to throw, there.

It sounds like between Krebs, Cozens, and Peterka, theyre getting guys who are a bit grittier than forwards of the recent past.

I love that Buffalo gives up a third in the deal like this is HF. There is always that random pick involved. :biglaugh:

Are there any conditions related to these picks?

Having an expected late R2 / early R3 pick swap seems weird. Like they were playing EA & the trade bar was 99% full before adding those picks either side.

Ultimately I think its unlikely cozens, krebs, rosen, Quinn, peterka, whoever we pick in 22 all work out how we hope, but I guess the hope has to be that 1 or 2 turn into bonafide 1st liners, and the rest still contribute

I don't know. This seems pretty underwhelming considering what people were saying. But glad it's done and hope it works out for buffalo.

It's only underwhelming for those who expected Lindros 2.0.

Considering some of us here have discussed more or less this exact package for months - we should be fine with it.

Given the injury and the cap hit, this was as good a package as Adams was likely to get.

Now Adams needs to develop the young guys they have and draft well with all the picks they have moving forward.

For sure. Out of Mittelstadt, Cozens, Rosen, Peterka, Krebs, and Quinn, Thompson, Asplund, and Olofsson, it would be ideal if they get 1-2 first liners, 2-3 top 6 players, and 1-2 quality 3rd line players. Really hoping one of Krebs, Mittelstadt, or Cozens can elevate to 1C quality. Don’t want to relive the nightmares of players like Hodgson and Leinos ilk being top line centers.

Don't know yet, seems the information is still trickling out. Someone has mentioned the Vegas first is not lottery protected but I haven't seen the confirmation on that yet.

Krebs wore #19 with Winnipeg and that number is available here.

Now does Tuch become the second Sabre ever to wear #89.......

I do wish they could have gotten an ROR clause for an extra pick if they win it this year

Really? Why did this have to break so damn early?

I like the deal. Nothing insane but Tuch is awesome (I really think he's gonna break out here) and Krebs has really solid potential.

Now add the trio of G prospects and the two 1OA Dmen (and friends).

I'm more excited than ever and that's a pretty high bar

Not a surprise that Vegas was the team willing to go for it.
Tuch will be a good fit with the team.
