If Bowman had done something this stupid, I would have criticized him just the same. Just like I did when he traded a 2nd for Rundblad or two 2nds for Timonen.

Murray deserves criticism for this trade.

criticism for what exactly????

mid 3rd round pick has very low odds of being a top 6 forward. low odds to make the NHL beyond a cup of coffee.

The deals you referred to from Bowman I believe were deadline deals. different animal.

Only 7 more days until it's only a few more days!

a week from today he is a UFA. Then he likely meets with about 5-7 other teams then decides on the weekend or on the following Monday.

I wouldn't be surprised if he makes his decision known by Thursday or early Friday.

Meet with teams Tuesday/Wednesday. Discuss with agent and whatnot on Wednesday evening/Thursday morning. Let everyone know by the afternoon or evening, maybe even Friday. Then he actually signs on Saturday or some time the week after.

I used to think this kid was a bit of a you know what. The article is actually quite eye opening. Seems like a good kid

Lol that's why I read this thread. To see all the ridiculous statements people have about the kid, without even knowing a damn thing about him.(not you in particular, just in general). It's quite funny to me how someone can be so convinced that Vesey is some sort of monster.

I can't speak for his character on a personal level, but genealogy.com says Vesey is a derivative of the last name Veazey. The last name Veazey means "kind, nice person". In conclusion, Vessy = nice person.

if he signs last year he only makes $92k in the AHL, so not knowing if he was sure he was ready for top 6 he goes back and gets his Harvard degree and graduate's. Would you rather have a year in the AHL and $92K or a Harvard degree, a Hobey baker and a chance to play in NCAA 1 more time. If it was you which would you have done?

Because Kevin Hayes is his only friend. In fact, they're partners in life and do everything together. When making a huge decision like this, I'm sure there's more to think about than, "Hey, Kevin Hayes plays for the Rangers."

That's it, he joining Clarefoot in New Jersey.

Poile guaranteed him a spot on the Preds if he signed last year. The only way he would've gone to the AHL is if he would've sucked in camp before the 15-16 season.

Missed the point.

I'm confused about the rangers being an option. Is he gonna play ahead of Nash or Kreider? I guess you could pay Nash 7 mil to play on the third line? The kid is only going to a place where he can get top 6 minutes.
