The main board version of this trade is basically 1 page of fans of other teams going "WTF?" and 5 pages of Buffalo fans spiking the football. Pretty sure I hate that fanbase more than the Pens/Devils/Isles at this point. I don't know how fans of a team THAT bad can be so f***ing arrogant.
Anyone laughing at us for this is right. We were just laughing at the Flyers here for the same thing. It's only hockey

Not like this.

… this isn’t a great trade. At all. I love Blais for the bottom six and have even mentioned him before. He has a bit of upside. But… a 2nd?

You guys are so emo…. There was NO WAY Buch had a sustainable spot in the top 6 with the youngsters we have and there would been paying him 5-6M for bottom 6 ice time. A 1st would have been nice, but he overperformed and it seems like a relatively fair return. Blais is an impactful role player and still young.

There may be a day when Kakko and Kravtsov are good enough to push Buch out of the top six, but that day is years off. As of today, we have no right wingers who have scored more than 24 points.

I dont understand this. Buch scored 48 points last season. The best you could get was a 2nd in 2022 and a 3rd/4th liner???

I mean sure a 2nd in 2022 could be like a late 1st in this year’s draft, but it just doesnt add up.

No Thomas, Sanford, or Kyrou???

Short of the Rangers thinking Blais has a shot of being that Fast-type on the 2nd line.. I really don't see how this makes any sense.

Then again if the market wasn't there, then not much Drury can do. Without a contract extension in place Buch's value is basically as a 1 year player.
