Zub's goal was a great effort he really battled and fought for that goal. He didn't give up on the play. Batherson was really good as well tonight.

Sanderson looks better every single game, he had a slick little play where he iced the puck hard enough that it bounced off the endboards to a racing Stützle who beat out the icing. Very smart player, love the confidence to try that play in his 3rd NHL game and am excited to watch him develop

Knowing that Timmy is faster than whatever dman he was up against and having the alertness to make that play in your 3rd NHL game is insane

I may be 12 deep but this was the best game of hockey I have watched since game 7 ECF 2017.

The thing is they only say this shit about Brannstrom even when he's one of the better players on the ice.

You know I’m 100% on the Brannstrom train but we learned long ago there are some people you will just never convince. I clearly remember people ragging on Karlsson for his size even as he was winning Norrises and carrying the team single handedly. Some saying they « just prefer » players who are bigger and more physical like Doughty despite the fact they were clearly inferior overall. It’s no surprise Brannstrom draws even more criticism.

Norris seems to be deferring to them a little too much IMO. He needs to take his space on that line, make himself available in high danger areas and demand the puck a little more. I’m sure it will come.

Several amazing shifts from Timmy tonight. That one shift where he set up on the half wall and was wiring passes for scoring chances was ridiculous.

His goal was also a great shift. How anyone can say he’s soft is beyond me.
