Branny has played 119 games to JBD and Thomson 29(?) combined. They need more time to be ready, but Branny got ripped apart from the start. I hope he kills it this year.

Sure, I agree. JBD & Thomson have predictably played fewer games at this stage of their careers. Just hoping they will improve and graduate at some point. Sooner versus later would be nice. Hoping for the best, but not expecting it.

We'll see how Florida does this yr, I think they made the right move to bring in more grit with Tkachuk, but I'm not sold on their overall team.

They are in cap hell this year and next with Yandles buy out. After that they will have money to boost the D core. The rest of their main pieces are signed. They're likely going to be one of the sens biggest rivals for the next little while. They are going to be harder to play against but their D is just so weak without Ekblad and Weegar.

So both our team & theirs need to upgrade the D over the course of the next yr or two.

Our D core is in way better shape assuming the sens extend Zub. The sens dont have a Barkov level player maybe Stutuzle gets there. I think we just have to let our young players play and develop.

Agree, we need to let the young players develop. Our D core has 3 UFAs at the moment & then there is Zaitsev. If they can re-sign Zub at a reasonable price & replace Holden who is 35 yrs old that would be a good start. They desperately need a top 4 RD to replace Hamonic at some point as well, maybe JBD will be that guy.
