the sens have to fix their defensive game if they want a chance at the playoffs

this was a very very ugly win
Sometimes they have to be ugly. But I agree. However, Boston has been playing fairly well over the past few games. I was seriously concerned about our chances. This game proves we can compete with the top teams.

One thing they do have control over is being more disciplined when you have the lead.

No retaliation penalties.

That Norris coincidental minor that led to 4 on 4 and Brannstrom’s retaliatory slash were unnecessary.

Lmao he literally said that how am I hearing "what I want".
Caller criticized Brannstrom and then said he wants a big mobile D.

Baker responds that every team wants big mobile D.

Baker never criticized Brannstrom.

Sometimes people have preconceived notions about players and refuse to see when a player is playing differently or better.

Also this team gotta be smarter at times, the timing on the goals against a times is frustrating, end of periods, right after a goal, be smarter.

Other than that i thought they played fine

He was directly discussing Brannstrom and while this might not be his exact words he basically said "would you rather have a bigger D in his spot? Yes."

Keep trying though.

Brannstrum ain't the problem it's somebody teaching them some weird shit I never seen before 3 guys after one player and crossing coverage at the points you can't do that shit at nhl level it looks like peewee hockey lol

Of course you would take the bigger player if they had the same skills.

That was a good win. Credit to the Bruins for capitalizing on their chances, but I think the score makes our defense looks worse than it was. There were certainly some breakdowns and details that need to be cleaned up, but I don’t think Boston got all that much sustained pressure and we didn’t get hemmed in much, which is a positive compared to how we played last year.

And the offense was rolling.

Motte showed tonight that he is a 4th liner.

Joseph was good after a slow start tonight but he makes a lot of dangerous decisions at the offensive blue line.

Sanderson was not great early but really picked it up.

Debrincat can be better.

Unbelievable game by Brady, he won every forecheck tonight it seemed like, he was absolutely flying out there. His entire line ruled. DeBrincat is going to score a lot of goals, he is so good at getting to good areas of the ice sneakily. Branny had another good game, glad he’s getting a longer leash this season after starting camp fighting Zaitsev for a spot.

Sanderson looks better every single game, he had a slick little play where he iced the puck hard enough that it bounced off the endboards to a racing Stützle who beat out the icing. Very smart player, love the confidence to try that play in his 3rd NHL game and am excited to watch him develop

Best game I've been to since 2017 playoffs...

My thoughts:
- Place was RAMMED, every goal, every cheer was loud and it felt like a playoff game
- The Alfie surprise appearance choked me up a bit....the fans chanted his name like it was the 2007 playoffs. Lady next to me was in tears...
- I don't think a single player played badly. Yes yes, structure in the D zone still needs some work but everyone battled hard and we won more puck battles than I've seen in 4 years.

Top 4 players in my eyes (from the 200 level):
1. Tkachuk he was in BEAST mode all night
2. Batherson playing like an all-star out there...physical and tenacious
3. Zub...was an ABSOLUTE FORCE...Must be re-signed asap...was our best D
4. Stutzle.. massive star in the making....fast, creative and smart

Lots of others....Branny, Pinto, Kastelic, Giroux, Sanderson....but the above stood out the most.
