Yup - whether he saw what happened or was just going off of Shesty being upset not sure...but my point was that Rooney is one of a small handful from the Rangers who I think could go with Ritchie. Not even sure I'd call what he did words...almost like whispering sweet nothings... lol
How does Rask not get run very next shift. How? Gutless leadership and scared players

I have ZERO social media. None. I’m 49 with a real life. My son showed me and I went to google and looked it up to copy and paste.

Congrats - i remember when i learned to copy/paste 25 years ago. Welcome

You didn’t see the team that was sticking up for themselves? Living life strictly on social media must be grand.
They stuck up for themselves ok but they didn’t back up their teammates much. I was very disappointed in the lack of response to the hit on Igor. That was the main one.

That's what I was mad about too. Even when I said Marchand went after Panarin, noone touched him next game. That right there already told me all I needed to know about this squad. Quinn teaches them to play clean at all costs. Quinn is the problem

I agree with other players not stepping up and sticking up for Kakko and Shesterkin.

Lauzon went after Kakko for a normal hockey play against Halak, and absolutely nobody stood up for him as he was getting punched in the face. Also if teams keep going at your goalie someone has to step up. There’s no price to be paid physically or on the score sheet. It’s pathetic.

Exactly. It was a regular season game. I could understand if it was a playoff game and they had called a penalty. In this situation you have to protect your goalie.

The next back to back against Boston is gonna be f*ckin' wild.

loved how Shesty took no shit. If he started beating the shit out of one of those beans and got ejected I'd be 100% ok with that. We are not on the quest for the cup ATM

Would have been nice to have a game tonight. Friggin Covid.
Maybe this team could use extra extra time for practice. Especially that putrid pp. then again who knows if they even would accomplish anything. As a fan last three games have been exhausting and frustrating. I don’t mind the break. Would rather not see us lose 5-0 vs philly today

One thing I’m confident in right now is Shesty. He is the present and future of this team. You can tell he has the desire, passion and skill to be great. Wish 80 percent of the rest of the team would do the same

It’s the Rangers Culture!!!

Classy
Soft
Easy to play against

look at the reaction many of our posters have had over the past few years to guys that actually weren’t always classy, soft and easy to play against

Rupp
Glass
Avery
Girardi
Staal
There’s others

Quinn is the problem. He is thinking about keeping his job every night; not building a winner and a culture that creates a tight, tough locker room. Someone should have run Rask and taken the penalty; F the result of this one game.

Are people really opining for players like Brashear, Hollweg, Scott, Shelley, Boogard, Rupp, Glass?

Like that worked in the past?

All those players do is allow for the others to defer any push/punch back until those players take their next shift. It does not actually make the rest of the roster any tougher, in fact I'd argue it makes them softer long term as they feel as if they don't need to worry about pushing/punching back as someone else will take care of it.

I want players who piss people off and light a fire under their own teammates so yeah. Guys who will rattle cages and make everyone uncomfortable. If they can play well too even better. Rangers had a 70% or thereabouts winning percentage when Avery played.

Avery was a little different than the rest, on ice he was an agitator who had a decent level of skill.

The others though, they really are just not good NHLers and really I'd say the rest of the team would defer any toughness aspects to those players which does not help them develop any toughness traits of their own.

The Bruins are not carrying those types, they have some tougher guys who have enough skill to play in the top 9F or top 4D, if the Rangers can find those types I'd be all for it. Why Kreider gets a pass for not being more of that yet Zbad or whoever does not I do not know.

Well, I don't usually advocate violence, but seeing as this team's top six can't score, I say start the toughest guys in the lineup, whoever JD thinks are his edgiest guys, run the Devils goalie first chance (I know, they are weak, but so are we) with the first two guys and score with the third, take the penalty, and then play the game. It's time.
