If we manage to pull the unthinkable, we'd be the 5th team in the history of NA SPORTS to return from the 3-0 hole and win.

Make sure to take a deep one if you plan on holding your breath.

For that to happen Hank has to stand on his hair, not even his head anymore.

IMHO Stralman has made DZ expendable. I wouldn't be surprised to see him dealt during the draft.

It is obviously a combination of bad coaching and bad team-building. Both Sather and Torts are to blame. I don't know how anybody could say that Torts wasn't out coached tonight when the entire NBC staff was pointing it out throughout the night. Our transition game is THE WORST in the NHL. Our PP is terrible and, as Pierre was saying, it has NO STRUCTURE.

Sather just constantly gives out terrible contracts and the fact that he still has a job after a decade+ of no success is a statement in itself.

BOTH MUST GO.

I think we have an agreement; now how do we implement it??

Wouldn't be mad at all going into next season with:

Staal - G
McD - Stralman
Moore - (whoever, who cares?)

As the D next season. Trade Del Zotto for a pick and a winger! Let's gooooooooooooooo

Fair enough, but let's throw some other names into the ring, and maybe not put it on one player here?

Richards - Horrendous
Callahan - Mostly horrendous, he's played better this series but he's not where he needs to be
Nash - Effort is cool, let's hit the twine maybe.
Del Zotto - No comment. Too funny to even comment on.

etc... etc...

Oh, and to everyone who RAILED me after saying that DZ was going to be traded at the draft after the Gaborik trade went down, I still say you'll see :)

I don't disagree. But at least Callahan is useful defensively and physically. Del Zotto isn't the player Stepan is and I expect less from him. I am talking about 1st/2nd liners like Stepan. I honestly can't remember anyone worse than him right now.

I love the kid, but this better play into salary discussions with him.

If he's not gone next year, Richards better spend a million dollars on personal trainers in the off season.

Rebuild is a taboo word at 1 Penn Plaza. Those corporate hiked ticket prices are a yoke around the organization's neck. They always have to go for the quick, stopgap measure as opposed to building a team.

You come to post this feel superior or just stating the obvious?

12-13 2.10 G/GM (5.3% PP)
11-12 2.15 G/GM (17.8% PP)
10-11 1.60 G/GM (5.0% PP)

Anyone noticing a trend?

In comparison, the Stanley Cup winner in 11-12 scored 2.85 G/GM (12.8% PP) and the 10-11 Stanley Cup winner scored 3.24G/GM (11.4% PP).

Both had nearly a full higher G/GM and while their PP was underwhelming, is still 5-6% higher than us two out of the last three seasons.

This is under Tortorella. The team needs to score more goals. 5 goals in 3 games this series. I know, some people will say the players need to take responsibility, but when your team can't score year after year, and the roster changes each year, chances are it's because something is not right with how the team is approaching it.

Yes that we eventually will not see the playoffs ever again and will score 0g/game
But we got JAM..
And for a bunch of Pejorative Slured apologists that seems to be entirely sufficient
Wait something's stinks around here

The turds on the ice

seriously though.

Need some changes other than just players.

The voice of reason. chosen, can you please post more on here? I understand how frustrating it can be, but your posting is missed. I wish it were more frequent.

Not as much fun from posting as it used to be. There used to be quite a few contributors who really understood the game. A lot must have left or I don't see them here as much as I used to.

Mostly it seems to have devolved into terminal whining by people who believe that if their team isn't winning, forces other than reality must be responsible for less than pleasing results.

Maybe I'm just down because the Rangers aren't good enough this year, again.

I hate Sather for constructing a defense that contributes zero to the offensive side of the game. Aside for McDonagh because he is such a special all-around talent in my eyes (the only better I have seen in 50 years here are Park, Beck, and Leetch), the rest are zeros offensively.

I like Staal and Girardi as defensive dmen but they scare no one when they have the puck. Then you look at the Bruins and you see some real offensive talent on the back end. Krug and Hamilton are kids, too. Del Zotto was sold to us as that but he ain't. He serves no function that I can see at all.

When people complain about Nash I laugh. He has Chara and a forward draped on his back for the entire game because the Bruins know that if they take him out of the game, no one is left that consistently puts offensive pressure on them.

On another note, Lundqvist is easily the best Rangers goalie of my lifetime, and aside from Hasek I can't think of a single goalie I would rather have in net for my team.

I won't even mention Lundqvist today. That was one of the most embarrassing efforts in an important game like this that I've seen in my life. I don't think the effort was this game in game 4 in 2006. v This is possibly the lowest point I've had as a Rangers fan. I've never been this embarrassed to be a Rangers fan. I honestly defend the skaters and think they have talent and they make me look like a fool. We're playing a ****ing Bruins team that needed a miracle to beat the Leafs. What a disgrace that was. Absolutely disgusting. I don't even know what we should do to this team. Their talented players are just not playoff performers. Brassard can't ****ing do everything, he's not Crosby.

Calling BS on that, the Corps will still buy tickets...it's in the mind of management and ownership that it can't be done.

Not gloating. My team is in dire straits as well. We're both floating towards the falls. :D

Sorry. I'm just mad. But yeah. Not every day someone from the rival board comes here for non trolling purposes.

This team cannot succeed with a feeble strategy and a rag tag bottom 6.
