Brunet?
No, he'd be the Curtis Hall of defenseman, sign him but keep him in the Q next year is my final answer for today...Yes. Next year speaking, do you think he could handle the AHL?
That's exactly why I think Lauko played better with big club.I really liked that kid up when I saw him and thought he earned his spot.Sorry got away from prospects a bit but what you said made me think of him.I don't know if you read what I had written. Since you are making a comparison to a second round pick. I tend to think you didn't.
When you are drafting in the second round, you are looking for players with a pretty good chance of making the NHL. When you are drafting in the fifth, you are taking a guy with virtually no chance of making it. Like I wrote, he is precisely the type of player you look for in this case, because if he does develop, then he has a chance. I can guarantee there isn't a hockey pundit that saw this type of offence from Brunet, even at this stage, so yes there is some reason to get excited because he is exceeding expectations.
He wasn't in a good situation in Rimouski and like I also wrote "it just goes to show that when you surround a talented player with other talented players, great things can happen." And since the trade he is recorded points at a pace that hasn't been seen in the Q in over 20 years.
Does it mean he'll make it? No, but there is reason for optimism and to get excited.
No Shane Wright last night. Harry played the middle. Look at his faceoffs vs the other Windsor centers. It's funnyThursday Night Wrap
Harrison 1 shot -1 5-3 loss
Edward 5 shots 3-0 loss
Is that good?Poitras matches the 50 points he had a season ago in 29 fewer games.
Smooth skater with some slick hands.
It will all depend on his skating. He is very similar to Freddy in that both have great shots but may not have the speed to get to the areas to take those shots. He is really physical though so he may have a calling as that type of player on the fourth line.Nice
Is he more 3rd or 4th line material at the next level?
Very impressiveBU beat BC 6-3

It would be helpful when replying to quotes to repeat the name of the player in question so we don't have to go back and hunt for the info ourselves. In this case it's Kuntar. It will all depend on his skating. He is very similar to Freddy in that both have great shots but may not have the speed to get to the areas to take those shots.
